I love taking care of my skin and I love to try new products so my skin care routine tends to change quite often. My latest obsession came from Selvert Thermal the famous Swiss cosmetic brand.

I had the pleasure to try their new Régéneration Absolute Line, formulated with the most advanced technologies. It contains Snail Protein Extract to help repair mature skin or skin damaged by external agents. It acts at cellular level and give skin new elasticity, structure and luminosity. Awesome right?!

The Creme Regeneratrice it’s very hydrating, perfect to use during the cooler months especially if you have dry skin. If your skin is oily or combination I recommend the gel version instead. Easy to apply, it sinks into the skin very quickly leaving it hydrated and non oily. The snail extract it’s great to soften signs of hyper pigmentation and to achive a more luminous and firm look.

The Gel eye cream is rich but not heavy, helps to softens fine lines and gently hydrates this very sensitive area of our face. The packaging is very well designed, hygienic and travel friendly.

Last but not least I tried their Instant firming vials a true must if you want to look extra glamorous for a special event! You can use them as a base for your make-up and the result is truly amazing!

Mi piace prendermi cura della mia pelle e adoro provare nuovi prodotti, quindi tendo a cambiare spesso la mia skin care routine. L’ultima novità arriva da Selvert Thermal, la famosa casa cosmetica svizzera.

Ho avuto il piacere di provare per voi alcuni prodotti della nuova linea Régéneration Absolute, formulata con le tecnologie più avanzate, che contiene Estratto Proteico della bava di lumaca. Una linea mirata a riparare la pelli mature o  le pelli che sono state danneggiate da fattori esterni, agendo a livello cellulare, donando alla pelle una nuova elasticità, struttura e luminosità. Fantastico no?

La Crema rigeneratrice è molto idratante, perfetta da usare nei mesi più freddi specialmente se avete la pelle secca, per le pelli grasse consiglio invece la versione in gel. Piacevole da applicare, questa crema si assorbe facilmente lasciando la pelle idrata e non unta. Grazie all’estratto di bava di lumaca, aiuta a schiarire le macchie lasciate dai brufoli e in generale rende l’incarnato più luminoso e compatto.

Il Gel-crema contorno occhi davvero nutriente, non appesantisce e facilita la rigenerazione cellulare, andando ad alleggerire i segni di espressione. La confezione in tubetto è igienica e comoda da trasportare se viaggiate.

Per finire ho provato le fiale flash tenseur anti rughe, un vero must per una serata speciale! Si usano come base e creano un effetto lifting istantaneo, dopo qualche minuto è possibile applicare il trucco e il risultato “wow” è assicurato!

The mask edit

When it comes to skin care, face masks are definitely one of my favourite items and I really enjoy trying and discovering new ones! So today I want to share with you a selection of some I tried quite recently and some old favourites of mine.

GlamGlow Super-mud clearing treatment: This is definitely a staple in my stash. It's a mud mask that has a gritty texture but it's not too harsh on the skin. It's great to unclog pores and clear your skin without stripping it. If I feel like my skin is irritated I just use it on certain areas (like nose, chin and forehead).

Caudalie Purifying mask: I think I'm on my third tube and this mask is a must in my skin care routine. It's extremely gentle and clears the skin without irritating it or stripping it. You can use it twice a week and you can really see a difference and it's great to calm irritated, spotty skin.

La Roche-Posay Hydraphase Intense mask: This is great if your skin need that extra bit of moisture. It's clear, very hydrating and portable so it's amazing to use on long flights or when you're traveling.

Boscia Luminizing black mask: I pick this up when I was in Shanghai and I'll be sad when it's gone. It's a thick, black, peel-off mask. Great to minimize pores, remove impurities and make your skin more radiant. 

Peter Thomas Roth mini masks: This mini set of three masks is great to test the brand out and my favourite is definitely the  Pumpkin Enzyme Mask. It smells great and has a grainy texture that is not too harsh on the skin but it cleanse and brightens it. The Cucumber Gel Mask is perfect for the warmer months, it's refreshing and de-puffing while the Rose Stem Cell mask has a nice jelly texture and hydrates, firm and plump the skin.

Talking about sheet masks my favourites are the ones from When. They have a almost gel-like feel and they really are a quick fix after a night out or a long flight. Next time I get the chance I'll be sure to stock up on them. Next I have Innisfree masks, for the price they're very nice but in store they don't have any other writing than Korean on the packaging so it's quite hard to figure out what you're getting so I recommend you to look them up online. The ones I got are Hyaluronic acid one and clarifyng one both really nice. Even though I don't have the packaging left to show you (but you can see it here) I tried the Rice mask from Tony Moly. I love the brand and this mask is supposed to brightens and tightens your skin and it did a really nice job on mine, plus is very gentle which is always a bonus.

In tema di skin care le maschere per il viso sono una delle cose che preferisco, un vero rituale di bellezza e mi piace moltissimo provarne di nuove! Quindi oggi ho deciso di mostrarvi una selezione di alcune delle mie maschere preferite, insieme ad altre che ho avuto l'occasione di testare recentemente.

GlamGlow Super-mud clearing treatment: Un vero must tra i miei prodotti per il viso. Si tratta di una maschera al fango che ha una texture granulosa ma che non è eccessivamente aggressiva. Perfetta per liberare i pori e rendere la pelle pulita, senza privarla della sua idratazione. Se ho qualche zona del viso particolarmente irritata, tendo a schivarla e applicare la maschera concentrandola su altre parti (di solito naso, mento e fronte).

Caudalie Purifying mask: Molto probabilmente, questa è la mia terza confezione e non vi nascondo che è una delle mie maschere preferite di sempre. Delicatissima sulla pelle, purifica e aiuta a lenire le irritazioni. Può essere usuata fino a due volte la settimana e vi assicuro che vedrete la differenza. 

La Roche-Posay Hydraphase Intense mask: Ottima se avete bisogno di idratazione. È una maschera trasparente, davvero comoda da portare in viaggio e da usare sull'aereo per mantenere il giusto livello di idrazione. 

Boscia Luminizing black mask: L'ho presa mentre ero a Shanghai e confesso che una volta finita, mi macherà. È una maschera nera, dalla consistenza pastosa, da applicare in uno strato spesso e quando si secca viene via tutta insieme come una pellicola. Riduce l'aspetto dei pori, purifica la pelle e la rende più luminosa.

Peter Thomas Roth mini masks: Questo mini set di maschere è perfetto se volete conoscere il marchio. La mia preferita è senza dubbio la Pumpkin Enzyme Mask. Ha un profumo buonissimo e una consistenza granulosa che rimuove le impurità, senza essere aggressiva e rendendo la pelle radiosa. La Cucumber Gel Mask è perfetta da usare quando fa caldo, proprio per la sua formula in gel, sgonfia e rinfresca il viso. Mentre la Rose Stem Cell mask, dalla consistenza in gel, idrata, rassoda e rimpolpa la pelle, davvero un ottimo prodotto.

Ma parliamo delle maschere in tessuto, di gran moda al momento, le mie preferite sono decisamente quelle di When. Hanno una texture che sembra quasi un gel e sono molto piacevoli da utilizzare, perfette per minimizzare i danni di una notte brava o di un lungo volo. La prossima volta che mi capita l'occasione sicuramente ne farò scorta. Poi abbiamo le maschere di Innisfree, ottimo prezzo e buona resa, l'unico neo è che in negozio, tutte le scritte sulla confezione sono in Coreano, quindi non è semplicissimo capire quale  sia la loro funzione per questo motivo vi consiglio di dare un'occhiata al loro sito prima. Ne ho provati due tipi, una all'acido Ialuronico e un'altra mirata a rimuovere le cellule morte della pelle e migliorarne l'aspetto, mi sono trovata bene con entrambe. Per finire, anche se non ho più la confezione da mostrarvi (ma potete vederla qui) ho provato la  Rice mask di Tony Moly. Adoro questo marchio e la maschera in questione promette una pelle più luminosa e compatta. Devo dire che concordo sul risultato e spero di avere occasione di provarne altre. Inoltre è davvero delicata, cosa che è sempre un valore aggiunto.

Lancôme Jucy Shakers

Lancôme recently launched a new range of lip products called Jucy Shakers. They look like mini cocktail shakers indeed and they're lip glosses. Like a true barista you're ment to shake them and then dab them on the lips, the consistency of this product is quite unique, it's kind of bouncy, very smooth and moisturizing. The gloss is unlike any other and it's very comfortable to wear. The shades are all very pretty and you get quite a nice selection of colors, each one have a different color and a different scent. The pigmentation is light but you can definitely see the color on the lips (especially with the darker shades). After the gloss wears off you are left with a subltle stain on your lips. I got the shade Boom-Meringue which is a lovely, sheer pink.

I think this product is really cool, another great concept from Lisa Eldridge, Lancôme creative director. Definitely go check them out and shake, shake shake ;)

Lancôme ha recentemente lanciato una nuova linea di prodotti che si chiamano Jucy Shakers. Sembrano proprio dei mini shaker per cocktail ma in realtà sono dei lip gloss. Il prodotto va agitato, proprio come farebbe un vero barista e quanto la formula è amalgamata si picchietta il prodotto sulle labbra con l'applicatore. La consistenza del gloss è davvero particolare, molto elastica, si applica in maniera facile e omogena sulle labbra con un risultato finale davvero carinissimo! I colori disponibili sono tutti molto belli e si va da colori quasi trasparenti come quello che ho preso io "Boom-Meringue" a colori più scuri, che ovviamente hanno una maggiore pigmentazione, ognuno ha una profumazione diversa. Una volta svanito il gloss, sulla labbra rimane una leggera tinta.

Questo prodotto mi è piaciuto moltissimo, un altro bel colpo da parte di Lisa Eldridge, direttore artistico della maison! Vi consiglio di provarli la prossima volta che passate in profumeria! Shake, shake, shake ;)

Peter Thomas Roth masks

The other day I was in Sephora for my usual browse when I spotted these tiny, tiny masks from Peter Thomas Roth. I heard so many good things about them and I was looking forward to try them but the only place that sold them was Cult Beauty and didn't come around to place an order yet. Of course what I saw them in the aile of doom, I had to get them, I went for the minis so I can give you a better review once I tried them!

In the set you get a Rose Stem Cell mask, nourishing and reparative, a Pumpkin Enzyme Mask, polishing and revitalizing and a Cucumber Gel Mask detoxifying and hydrating. I'm excited to try them and of course I'll report back!! Have you tried these mask or anything from this line?

L'altro giorno ero da Sephora per il mio solito giro ricognitivo, quando ho visto questo set di maschere di Peter  Thomas Roth. È da un po' che ne sento parlare e so che in America sono un vero prodotto cult. In Europa si trovano da Cult Beauty, ma non mi ero ancora decisa a ordinarle. Ovviamente trovandole li sullo scaffale, potevo tornare a casa a mani vuote? Ho preso il mini kit, per avere l'opportunità di provarne più di una e darvi un'idea completa sulla linea!

Il set contiene la Rose Stem Cell mask, nutriente e riparatrice, la Pumpkin Enzyme Mask, esfoliante e rivitalizzante e la Cucumber Gel Mask con effetto de-tox e idratante. Non vedo l'ora di provarle e ovviamente vi farò sapere come mi sono trovata!! Voi avete mai provato niente di questa linea?

Il Caso Spotlight

I had the chance to attend the preview of Spotlight directed by Tom McCarthy which will be out in Italy on February 18th.

The movie is based on a true story which involves a journailsts team, called Spotlight.

 
Marty Baron (Liev Schreiber), the newly hired editor-in-chief of the Globe requests team Spotlight to investigate about sexual abuse allegations of a local Catholic priest against some minors.
Aware of the risks they might have to face the team  Walter “Robby” Robinson (Michael Keaton), Sacha Pfeiffer (Rachel McAdams), Michael Rezendes (Mark Ruffalo) and Matt Carroll (Brian d’Arcy James) begin to investigate the case.

 

Talking with the victims attorney Mitchell Garabedian (Stanley Tucci) and interviewing those adults who were molested as children, it became clear that the cover-up of these facts was methodical and that the case was remarkable and more serious than expected. In 2002 the Globe published a dossier about the case, despite the resistance of the Churc, that clearly caused a sensation.
 

This is an awesome movie, very strong and upsetting, it describes a situation which unfortunately is still a problem in our society. Mark Ruffalo, Michael Keaton, Rachel McAdams, Liev Schreiber, John Slattery, Stanley Tucci, Brian d’Arcy James e Billy Crudup are just a few member of a phenomenal cast. The director guides the actors wisely, making them (and us as well) part of the investigation and its touching yet shocking conclusion.

It's a great movie, something to reflect and talk about, something that will raise more then an eyebrow but something that's definitely worth to see.

Ho avuto la possibilità di vedere in anteprima "Il Caso Spotlight" il nuovo film di Tom McCarthy che uscirà nelle sale il 18 febbraio.
Il film è ispirato ad una storia vera, quella del caso Spotlight appunto. Nel 2002 un team di giornalisti investigativi del Boston Globe sconvolse la pubblica opinione con le sue rivelazioni a proposito della copertura sistematica da parte della Chiesa Cattolica sugli abusi sessuali commessi su minori da oltre 70 sacerdoti locali, in un’inchiesta che fu premiata col Premio Pulitzer.

Il neodirettore Marty Baron (Liev Schreiber) arriva da Miami per dirigere il Globe nell’estate del 2001 e incarica il team Spotlight di indagare sulla notizia di cronaca di un prete locale accusato di aver abusato sessualmente di decine di giovani parrocchiani nel corso di trent’anni. Consapevoli dei rischi a cui vanno incontro mettendosi contro un’istituzione com la Chiesa Cattolica a Boston, il caporedattore del team Spotlight, Walter “Robby” Robinson (Michael Keaton), i cronisti Sacha Pfeiffer (Rachel McAdams) e Michael Rezendes (Mark Ruffalo) e lo specialista in ricerche informatiche Matt Carroll (Brian d’Arcy James) cominciano a indagare sul caso.

Parlando con l'avvocato delle vittime Mitchell Garabedian (Stanley Tucci) e intervistando alcune persone che da piccole avevano subito queste molestie, emerge con sempre maggiore evidenza che l’insabbiamento dei casi di abuso è sistematico e che il fenomeno è molto più grave ed esteso di quanto si potesse immaginare. Malgrado la resistenza degli alti funzionari ecclesiastici, il Globe nel 2002 pubblica le sue rivelazioni in un dossier che farà scalpore.

Un film molto bello, molto duro e su una tematica purtroppo ancora attuale. Mark Ruffalo, Michael Keaton, Rachel McAdams, Liev Schreiber, John Slattery, Stanley Tucci, Brian d’Arcy James e Billy Crudup sono solo alcuni dei membri di un cast davvero sensazionale. Il regista dirige con abilità magistrale i suoi personaggi, esponendo i risultati di un'indagine, senza retoriche, con semplicità, coinvolgendo lo spettatore che si trova, proprio come i membri del team Spotlight, stremato e impotente difronte ai risultati. Un film da vedere, di cui parlare e che sicuramente offrirà al pubblico un ottimo spunto di riflessione.

H&M new make-up line

H&M is not a place where I usually shop for make-up, even though I love their nail polishes. Recently they re-launched their make-up line and they've definitely upped their game!

The new displays are very pretty and the selection is amazing, they have everything you might need from lipstick to nail polish, to brushes and skin care. The packaging is very sleek and elegant and basically I wanted to try everything...but I tried to resist and got just a lipstick and a nail polish both really pretty, good quality and affordable (€9.99 for the lipstick and €4.99 the nail polish). I'm definitely going back for more! Have you tried anything from the range yet?

H&M non è certamente il primo negozio che mi viene in mente, parlando di trucchi, anche se ho sempre apprezzato i loro smalti. Ultimamente hanno rilanciato la loro linea di make-up e devo dire che hanno decisamente alzato il tiro!

I nuovi display non hanno niente da invidiare a quelli delle profumerie e la selzione di prodotti è incredibile, c'è proprio tutto: dai rossetti, agli smalti passando per i pennelli e i prodotti per la cura della pelle. Le confezioni sono molto eleganti e rendono i prodotti ancora più invitanti...io ho cercato di contenermi e ho preso solo un rossetto e uno smalto, entrambi carinissimi, di buona qualità ed economici (€9,99 il rossetto e €4,99 lo smalto). Sicuramente farò un altro giro da H&M! Voi avete provato qualcosa di questa nuova linea?

P2 Cosmetics nails range

Hi everyone! I'm sure you all know my love for nail polishes, so you can imagine my excitement when I got asked to try Ps2 Cosmetics nails range. P2 Cosmetics it's an Austrian brand that makes nice, very affordable products and as you can see their nails range is really on point! They have a nails care line, which include base coats, top coats, and all kinds of treatment to keep your nails healthy and gorgeous. The product I was more excited to try was the Quick Dry spray to makes your nails dries quicker. Unlike the drops, they we're all used to, this product is easier to use, less messy and travel-friendly, it's a must! The nail polishes range is incredible as well and there are so many different finishes and effects. The Color Victim line (14 shades) has a very nice opaque finish and dries very quickly. Its fluid texture makes the applications smooth and easy. The Color Last Forever (14 shades) is, as the names suggests, very long lasting, easy to apply and opaque in one coat (although I always made two just in case). The Volume Gloss gel look polishes are definitely creamier and my favourite out of the bunch, the finish is super glossy and the shade n. 21 young miss is a gorgeous mauve, so chic! For those of you, who like to be more adventurous there are a bunch of crazy effect polishes like those in the Sand Style line. Mine is n. 70 pretty and it's a gorgeous pink with silver glitter of different sizes which gives a very sparkly, girly look. All the products are very affordable and you can find them online or in OVS and UPIM stores. They're really nice so be sure to check them out! Which one is your favourite?

Ciao a tutti! Sono sicura che sapete tutti della mia passione per gli smalti, quindi immaginerete il mio entusiasmo, quando mi hanno proposto di provare la linea unghie di P2 Cosmetics!

Per chi non lo conoscesse, si tratta di un brand austriaco che si occupa di trucchi e prodotti per le unghie appunto. La linea è davvero vasta e include prodotti per la cura delle unghie, accessori e smalti ovviamente. Nella linea per la cura delle unghie trovate vari tipi di base, top coat e prodotti per ridurre i tempi di asciugatura, come il Quick dry spray. Di solito ho sempre utilizzato le goccioline e vi confesso che lo spray è uno dei prodotti che mi ha incuriosita maggiormente. Si spruzza sull'unghia, dopo aver applicato lo smalto, a una distanza di circa 10 cm e dopo pochi secondi lo smalto è asciutto! Il fatto che questo prodotto sia in spray è geniale, lo rende più efficace, molto più facile da utilizzare e travel-friendly! Per quanto riguarda gli smalti invece ci sono varie linee dai finish e gli effetti diversi. La Color Victim (14 colori) ha un finish opaco e asciugatura veloce, infatti la sua consistenza fluida è facilissima da stendere e garantisce un risultato impeccabile anche quando si ha poco tempo per l'applicazione. La linea Color Last Forever (14 colori) è come dice il nome, a lunga tenuta, anche questa formulazione è facile da stendere e la coprenza è ottima, infatti basterebbe una sola passata (anche se io ne ho fatte sempre due per una maggiore tenuta). La linea Volume Gloss gel look polish, più cremosa delle altre due ha un finish super glossy davvero stupendo e il colore che ho provato n. 21 young miss è un malva davvero bellissimo. Ci sono poi gli smalti ad effetti speciali come quelli della line Sand Style, il colore che ho io è il n. 70 pretty, uno smalto sul rosa metallico con glitter argentati dall'effetto sabbiato. Tutti i prodotti hanno prezzi davvero accessibili e li trovate in vendita da OVS e UPIM. Sono davvero carini, quindi vi consiglio di provarli! Qual'è il vostro preferito?

New make-up for Spring

Hello everyone! How are you doing? In spring many make-up brands launch new products or releases new collections and for all us beauty junkies it's the perfect excuse to hit the stores! The first product I want to talk about it's not exactly new but it wasn't available in Italy. I'm talking about the Beauty Blender the famous pink sponge which everyone seems to love. You wet it, it gets bigger and it's supposed to make your foundation application flawless, we'll see! As you know I'm a huge lipstick addict and I love nude shades so I was very excited to try Marc Jacobs New Nudes line. It's a collection of seven nude shades, the formula it's jelly and goes on really smooth. Also Lancôme came out with a range of new lipsticks, they're called Shine Lover. They're sheer lipsticks, very hydrating and comfortable on the lips, in the range there are some nice bright pinks and reds but I decided to go with a nude shade, called Twisted beige. All these new lipsticks have anti-aging properties and are supposed to make your lips appear smoother and healthier! Last but not least another product which isn't new to the market but it's new around here, Physicians Formula finally made its appearance in Italy! I love the brand their focus on more natural, organic products, I tried a few of their powders but I have never tried their mascaras so I picked this Organic Wear formula, sounds good and I like the packaging, we'll see if it's any good!

Ciao a tutti! Come state? In Primavera molte case cosmetiche, lanciano nuovi prodotti o creano nuove linee e per noi amanti dei trucchi è sempre la scusa perfetta per fare un salto in profumeria! Il primo prodotto di cui voglio parlarvi, non è nuovo, ma è nuovo in Italia. Sto parlando della spugnetta Beauty Blender, la famosa spugnetta rosa che tutti sembrano adorare. Si usa bagnata e a contatto con l'acqua diventa più grande e permette un'applicazione del fondotinta impeccabile, vedremo se è vero! Come sapete sono una grande amante dei rossetti, in particolare dei colori nude, quindi non potevo non provare i New Nudes di Marc Jacobs. È una collezione di sette nuovi colori, tutti nudes appunto, la formula è simile ad un gel e l'applicazione è davvero facilissima. Anche Lancôme, ha lanciato una nuova linea di rossetti che si chiama Shine Lover. Sono rossetti molto idratanti, dalla colorazione leggera e ci sono un sacco di colori diversi, alcuni anche piuttosto intensi, ma io ovviamente, ho optato per Twisted Beige, un bellissimo nude. Entrambi questi rossetti hanno delle proprietà che rallentano l'invecchiamento delle labbra e le mantengono elastiche e idratate molto a lungo. Per ultimo vi parlo di un altro prodotto, che non è nuovo ma è una novità per noi, parlo dei prodotti di Physicians Formula. Personalmente adoro questa marca, che usa ingredienti naturali all'interno dei propri prodotti. Ho provato diversi dei loro prodotti in polvere, quindi ho scelto di testare un mascara e ho preso l'Organic Wear formula. Promette di rinforzare e mantenere la curvatura delle ciglia e la confezione è davvero carina, vi farò sapere come mi trovo!

Pretty Honest

I got this book for Christmas it's from Sali Hughes and for those of you who don't know her, she's a beauty journalis who writes a very successful beauty column for The Guardian. The book is very pretty indeed and will look awesome on your coffee table but unlike many books of this kind it is actually full of very interesting contents, beauty-wise of course. Sali covers every single aspect of beauty from foundation to acne, to mature skin, perfume and so on. The book is very informative and written in her witty, honest but very professional way. I think this will make the perfect gift to all your girlfriends and of course to yourself. You can find it on Amazon and in many book stores. Have you read it yet? Did you liked it? Il libro è davvero carino e farà un figurone sul vostro tavolo in salotto ma a differenza di tanti libri di questo tipo, anche il suo contenuto è molto interessante. Sali copre ogni singolo aspetto che riguarda la bellezza, dal fondotinta, all'acne, alle pelli mature, ai profumi e così via. Il libro è molto istruttivo ed è scritto nel suo stile arguto, onesto e molto professionale. È il regalo perfetto per tutte le vostre amiche e ovviamente anche per voi. Lo trovate su Amazon e in molti altri negozi di libri (anche se per ora non esiste la versione italiana). Qualcuno di voi lo ha letto? Che ne pensate?

Nars Audacious Lipsticks

Nars came out with a new range of lipsticks and they reformulated them as well. I'm talking about their new Audacious lipsticks and I have to say I'm in love! You already heard me talk about them here and there on the blog but I thought they deserved their own spot! There are lots of different shades and everyone of them is named after a woman. The texture is very creamy but super pigmented and has an incredible lasting power. I got two shades, Vera which is a raspberry pink and Ingrid which is a dark burgundy colour. Ingrid is limited edition exclusive to  Barneys and Selfridges. The packaging is very luxurious as well, it's a sleek, black bullet with a magnetic cap. They're on the pricey side (around 30 euros) but to me they're totally worth the splurge and with Christmas just round the corner, they'll make the perfect gift for a make-up addict friend or for yorself of course! Not all the colour performs the same so if you have the chanche I'd recommend you to go to the store and swatch them! You can find them online or in selected Sephora stores! La Nars ha recentemente lanciato una nuova linea di rossetti che hanno una nuova formulazione rispetto al passato. Sto parlando degli Audacious Lipsticks e devo dire che li adoro! Probabilmente me ne avete già sentito parlare qui sul blog, ma mi piacciono talmente tanto, che ho pensato meritassero un post tutto per loro! Ci sono moltissimi colori diversi e ogniuno ha il nome di una donna. La texture è molto cremosa ed estremamente pigmentata, garantendo una durata degna di nota. Io ho due colori, Vera un bellissimo colore lampone e Ingrid un rosso borgona scuro. Ingrid è un colore in edizione limitata, in vendita in esclusiva da Barneys e Selfridges. Anche la confezione è lussuosa, nera, molto minimale e con la chiusura a calamita. Questi rossetti sono decisamente costosi (30 euro l'uno), ma secondo me vale la pena provarli e visto che Natale si avvicina, potete metterli nella vostra wish list o regalarli ad un'amica appassionata di make-up! Non tutti i colori sono validi, quindi se ne avete la possibilità, vi consiglio di passare in negozio e provarli, per trovare quello che fa per voi! Li trovate online o in selezionati negozi Sephora! Benefit Majorette blush

Hello everyone! Today I want to talk you about Majorette, a new blush from Benefit. The main reason I was attracted to it was the packaging of course...isn't it adorable? Well let me tell you that the product inside is just as good. Is a cream-to-powder formula, which is super smooth and easy to blend both with your fingers or with a brush and it's quite long lasting as well. I find its texture quite interesting, mainly because it almost blurs the imperfections even if you're not wearing foundation underneath. You can find it at Sephora and it retails for € 33.50 for 7.0g of product which is quite expensive but it's a very lovely product and quite unique as well. So if you like the colour I'd recommend you to check it out! I hope you find this useful and I'll see you in my next post ;)

Ciao a tutti! Oggi voglio parlarvi del nuovo blush di Benefit, Majorette. La principale ragione per cui ha attirato la mia attenzione, è la confezione ovviamente...non è deliziosa? Beh lasciate che vi dica, che il prodotto al suo interno è altrettanto interessante. È una formula in crema che a contatto con la pelle diventa più simile ad un prodotto in polvere, è davvero facile da sfumare sia con le dita che con il pennello e la durata è altrettanto valida. Trovo la sua texture davvero interessante, principalmente perchè tende a nascondere le piccole imperfezioni, invece che enfatizzarle come farebbe un qualunque fard, anche se non si applica il fondotinta. Lo trovate da Sephora al prezzo di € 33,50 per 7g di prodotto, che a mio avviso è un po' caro, ma c'è da dire che è davvero un prodotto originale e che il colore è bellissimo! Se vi piace, vi consiglio di provarlo la prossima volta che passate da Sephora! Spero che il post vi sia stato utilie e vi aspetto al prossimo ;)

Lush Big shampoo

Hello everyone! So the other day I was in Lush and I decided to get their Big Shampoo. I always heard good things about it but I was reluctant to try it because I thought it might be too harsh on my delicate hair. Basically it is a volumizing shampoo with seaweed, sea salt and coconut oil in it. The sea salt is supposed to lift your roots while the coconut oil makes your hair soft and shiny. It has a gelly consistency and you just need the tinies amount, rub onto your scalp and let it foam, wash your hair as usual, then rinse it off. When you apply it at first you can really feel the grains of sea salt so you have to be very gentle but the result is amazing! Your hair feels squeaky clean, soft and volumized but not frizzy which is awesome!! To me this shampoo is quite clarifying so I wouldn't use it more than once a week and I if you have really dry, coarse hair I would use only in combination with a deep conditioner but it's really good and I'm glad I get to try it eventually. The price is 16,45 euros for 330g so it's not cheap, but a little goes a long way and a jar would last you a good while! Ciao a tutti! L'altro giorno sono stata da Lush e ho deciso di prendere il loro shampo Big. Ne ho sempre sentito parlare bene, ma ero riluttante a provarlo perchè pensavo che sarebbe stato un po' troppo aggressivo per i miei capelli. In pratica è uno shampo volumizzante, che contiente alghe, sale marino e olio di cocco. Il sale marino serve a dare volume alle radici dei capelli, mentere l'olio di cocco li rende lucidi e morbidissimi. Ha una consistenza gelatinosa e ne serve davvero pochissimo, va strofinato delicatamente sulla cute e una volta che comincia a fare la schiuma, va massaggiato come un normale shampo e poi sciacquato via. Quando si applica all'inizio si sentono davvero i granelli di sale marino, quindi bisogna stare attenti a massaggiarlo in maniera delicata ma il risultato finale è staordinario! Lascia i capelli pulitissimi, morbidi e voluminosi, ma non crespi. Trovo la sua formulazione decisamente sgrassante, quindi non lo userei più di una volta alla settimana e se avete i capelli particolarmente secchi e rovinati lo userei soltanto in combinazione con una maschera o un balsamo molto idratante. Comunque lo trovo un ottimo prodotto e sono contenta di averlo provato alla fine. Il prezzo è di 16,45 euro per 330g di prodotto, quindi non è decisamente economico, ma ne serve davvero pochissimo e la confezione vi durerà sicuramente un sacco! Per me vale la pena provarlo e ve lo consiglio assolutamente :) Spero che la mia piccola recensione vi sia piaciuta e vi aspetto al prossimo post! Buona giornata!!

Let's talk about sunscreen!

I tend to wear sunscreen all year round but during Spring and Summer I pay even more attention to this step in my skin care routine. Sun lotions are usually quite thick and when it comes to face my combination skin doesn't like them at all...I always end up breaking out! After trying quite a few I came across these two and let me tell you, they're amazing!

Kiehl's Ultra light daily UV defense SPF 50 - If you follow me you'd now how much I love this stuff. It's not oily and easy to blend, you can apply make-up on top without looking overly shiny! The packaging is nice a compact, perfect to trow in your make-up bag or to carry with you on the beach or the pool!

Benefit Dream screen SPF 45 - This newer to me but as soon as I tried it I fell in love! This product has a very light consistency, you really can't feel it or see it. Its texture is liquid but when you apply it onto your skin it almost disappears. Perfect to wear during hot summer days, plus it's oil free and gives a lovely matte finish to your skin. Cerco di usare la protezione solare tutto l'anno, ma in Primavera e Estate mi assicuro di non dimenticare questo passaggio nella mia skin care routine. Le lozioni solari sono solitamente piuttosto ricche e la mia pelle mista non gradisce affatto, infatti tendo a riempirmi di brufoli! Dopo averne provate diverse posso dirvi che queste due sono le mie preferite!

Kiehl's Ultra light daily UV defense SPF 50 - Se mi seguite regolarmente, saprete già che la adoro.  E' una crema a base non oleosa, che si stende facilmente e crea una base perfetta per il trucco, senza lasciare la pelle unta! La confezione compatta è perfetta da mettere in borsa o da portare sulla spiaggia!

Benefit Dream screen SPF 45 - Questo invece è un prodotto per me più nuovo, ma del quale mi sono innamorata appena l'ho provato! Ha una consistenza davvero leggerissima e non si sente, né si vede sulla pelle. Questa protezione solare è molto liquida ma si assorbe molto velocemente e in maniera del tutto invisibile. E' perfetta da usare nei caldi giorni estivi e la sua formulazione oil free lascia una finitura matte davvero carina.

Marc Jacobs red

Hello everyone! Long time no see..sorry about that but life sometimes gets in the way :)Today I'm here to share with you my impression in Marc Jacobs nail polish! There are plenty of amazing color but for my first one I decided to play safe and choose a red which is one of my favourite nails color. It's a gorgeous bright red, very creamy and easy to work with. The texture is thick and has a glossy finish which I love. It lasted a full five days on my nails and I'm in love with the packaging. Marc Jacobs nail polishes are not cheap but they're not super expensive either (in Italy they're 19 euros) and some of the colors are so unique that I'm definitely going back for more! Have you tried any of them yet?

Ciao a tutti! Mi dispiace se ultimamente sono stata assente, ma diciamo che a volte ci sono eventi nella vita che hanno la precedenza :) Comunque oggi sono qui per parlarvi degli smalti di Marc Jacobs! Nella linea ci sono moltissimi colori davvero stupendi, ma per testarli ho deciso di andare sul sicuro e scegliere uno dei miei colori preferiti, il rosso. Lola è una bellissima tonalità di rosso, molto acceso e perfetto per l'estate, molto cremoso e facile da applicare. La formulazione è consistente e si può fare anche una sola passata, il finish è piuttosto lucido anche senza top coat e devo dire che mi piace moltissimo. Mi è durato sulle unghie per 5 giorni e in più come non adorare la confezione? Gli smalti di Marc Jacobs non sono sicuramente a buon mercato, ma nemmeno tra i più costosi (io l'ho pagato 19 euro) e alcuni dei colori sono veramente originali, quindi penso proprio di voler allargare la mia collezione! A voi piace? Avete provato altri colori?

Dior Lip Glow

I love the original Dior Lip glow so when I saw a new one in the Spring/Summer collection I had to grab it straight away! The lip glow is basically a tinted lip balm, very moisturizing and sheer. It gives a slight tint to the lips and the final risult is very natural. Even though both colors are really sheer when you first apply them, after a couple minutes the color get more intense and you can definitely see them on the lips. The original lip glow is a pinky nude, very glossy while the new one is called 004 coral and as you can tell is a very pretty coral color, perfect for Spring and Summer! They're a nice alternative if you don't want to wear lipstick but still want to add some moist and color to your lips. Do you like them? Have you tried the new coral color yet?

Adoro il Lip Glow di Dior e quando ho visto che nella collezione Primavera/Estate c'era un nuovo colore ho dovuto provarlo subito! I lip glow sono praticamente dei balsami per la labbra colorati, molto idratanti e piuttosto trasparenti nella colorazione. Il risultato finale è molto naturale e il colore, quasi invisibile appena applicato, diventa più intenso dopo qualche minuto permettendoci di distinguere chiaramente le due colorazioni. L'originale è un rosa confetto, molto naturale e lucido mente il nuovo colore che si chiama 004 coral, è appunto uno splendido color corallo, perfetto per la prossima stagione! I Lip glow secondo me, sono un'alternativa perfetta per quei giorni in cui ci va di mettere il rossetto, ma vogliamo comunque un po' di colore e idratazione sulle labbra. A voi piacciono? Hourglass ambient lighting blush

Hello everyone! Today I got this blush in the mail and I couln'd wait to show you!! It's Hourglass Ambient Lighting blush in the shade Luminous flush. If you're not familiar with Hourglass let me give you a little background here: created by Carisa Janes in 2004 Hourglass wants to combine science, beauty and luxury in their innovative and very glamorous products! One of their most popular one is their Ambient Lighting powder, a very finely milled powder which is supposed to recreate the effect of various kind of lighting (natural, diffused, dim, etc.) on your face to hide imperfections...yes just like a Photoshop effect. In February they launched the Ambient Lighting blushes and I was really looking forward to try them. These blushers are a combination of the ambient lighting powder and a colorful blush. The effect is very luminous and so flattering. I can't wait to try more of the shades!! Have you tried any of these powders yet? I hope you like the post and I wish you all a lovely day ;)

Ciao a tutti! Oggi mi è finalmente arrivato questo blush e non vedevo l'ora di mostrarvelo!! E' uno degli Hourglass ambient lighting blush nel colore Luminous flush. Se non conoscete la Hourglass, lasciate che vi dia un po' di background: il marchio è stato creato da Carisa Janes nel 2004, con l'obiettivo di combinare scienza, bellezza e lusso in una linea di prodotti innovativi e glamour allo stesso tempo! Uno dei loro prodotti più famosi è sicuramente la Ambient Lighting powder, una cipria molto sottile, che ha lo scopo di ricreare sul viso l'effetto di vari tipi di luci (naturale, diffusa, soffusa, ecc.) per minimizzare le imperfezioni...sì proprio come se fosse un filtro di Photoshop. A Febbraio hanno lanciato gli Ambient Lighting blushes e non vedevo l'ora di provarli. Questi blush infatti combinano, la ambient lighting poweder con una polvere colorata, dando un effetto luminoso davvero bellissimo. Non vedo l'ora di provare altri colori!! I got this book for Christmas and I finished it yesterday so I thought I'd share with you my thoughts on it! IT is a book by Alexa Chung and it's not your average book, it's more of a pin board where she mixes photos, doodles, style tips and a bunch of fun facs about her. I really enjoyed reading it, it's an easy read, something you can throw in your purse and read on the train home or before bed. It made me like Alexa Chung even more and it will definitely look awesome on your coffee table ;)

Ho ricevuto questo libro per Natale e visto che ieri sera ho finito di leggerlo, ho pensato di condividere con voi i miei pensieri a riguardo! IT è scritto da Alexa Chung e diciamo che non è il classico libro narrativo, è più una raccolta di ispirazioni dove Alexa ha mischiato foto, disegni, consigli di stile e qualche fatto divertente sulla sua vita. Mi è piaciuto molto, non è una lettura impegnativa, è uno di quei libri che si possono mettere in borsa e leggere in treno o prima di andare a dormire. Devo dire che mi ha fatto apprezzare Alexa Chung ancora di più e inoltre la copertina deliziosa lo rende un libro perfetto da esporre sul tavolino in salotto ;)
