Say bye bye to dry, flaky lips

 

During the cooler months our skin tends to get dry and our lips are facing this issue as well! To me this is one of the most annoying things ever especially when I want to wear lipstick. Over the years I've tried many different tricks to keep dryness at bay and I came up with this routine which won't completely solve the problem but will definitely improve the look of your lips if you keep up with it. Believe it or not a good scrub is the base to avoid your lips to get dry and flaky so be sure to do that once a week. I use Lush scrub but you can use any kind you like or you can make it at home, mixing a tsp of sugar with a tsp of honey. You can also use a thick moisturizer and rub it onto your lips with a cotton bud. Rinse it off and apply a good lip balm. My favourites are Elizabeth Arden 8hr cream, Nuxe Rêve de Miel (you can use those as an over night treatment as well) and Burt's Bees honey lip balm that you can keep in you purse and apply on the go. To me this an easy and fast way to keep my lips nice and moist all year round :) I hope it was helpful and i wish you all a nice day!

Nei mesi invernali, la nostra pelle tende ad essere più secca e anche le nostre labbra si trovano a fronteggiare lo stesso problema! Per me questo è un problema molto fastidioso, specialmente nei giorni in cui decido di mettere il rossetto. Nel corso degli anni ho provato di tutto per cercare di tenere la situazione sotto controllo e alla fine ho trovato una routine, che pur non risolvendo completamente il problema,  se ripetuta regolarmente, tiente la situazione sotto controllo e migliora decisamente l'aspetto delle labbra. Difficile da credere, ma un buono scrub è alla base della salute delle nostre labbra ed riduce il rischio che si secchino e si screpolino, quindi vi consiglio di farlo una volta alla settimana. Io uso lo scrub di Lush, ma ovviamente potete usare quello che preferite o addirittura farlo in casa, mischiando un cucchiaino di zucchero e un cucchiaino di miele. Se preferite potete utilizzare anche una crema idratante, sfregandola delicatamente con un cotton fioc sulle labbra. A questo punto sciacquate via il vostro scrub e applicate un balsamo per labbra. I miei preferiti sono la 8hr cream di Elizabeth Arden, il Rêve de Miel di Nuxe (che potete usare anche come trattamenti notturni) e lo stick al miele di Burt's Bees, perfetto da mettere in borsa e riapplicare durante il giorno. Per me questo è un modo facile e veloce per mantenere le labbra idratate e morbide tutto l'anno :) Spero che il post vi sia utile e vi auguro una buona giornata!

Trendy lipstick for Fall

It's no secret I'm a lipstick addict so I though I'd share with you some trends for Fall and some of my favourite options! Every year when the leaves start falling we suddendly feel the urge to put on a bold lip (at least I do) and this Fall is no exception, dark vampy lips are everywhere! My favourite at the moment is Ingrid by Nars. Nars recently released a new lipstick formula called Audacious Lipstick and every colour has a woman name. They're really amazing lipsticks and the pigmentation is awesome, the have a new fancy packaging too. Ingrid is part of a limited edition collection exclusive to Barneys and Selfridges, so If you like it I'd grab one real quick! Since this is a limited edition I wanted to include a couple alternatives, Chanel Rouge Coco in n. 29 Ballet Russe, Revlon lipstick in the shade 663 Va va violet and Revlon lip crayon in n. 005 Crush. Another trend for the season is matte lipstick and the more exciting release is definitely Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution. It's a new range of 10 beautiful shade, all matte but what's cool about them is the texture. In fact they're not drying at all, they're really creamy and comfortable on the lips so that we can rock our matte look all day! I have the colour Amzing Grace which is a tea-rose, gorgeous shade. If you want an alternative you can try Rimmel by Kate lipsticks. I have the color 05 or the lip crayon from Revlon in the color n. 205 Elusive. Nars do some amzing matte lipstick in crayon from as well and they came in plenty of different shades! Last but not least we have berry shades, my favourite is Revlon lip butter in Berry Smoothie because it's easy to apply and you can build up the colour! Il fatto che ami i rossetti alla follia, non è certamente un segreto. Quindi ho pensato di condividere con voi alcuni dei trend autunnali e ovviamente mostrarvi i miei preferiti! Ogni anno quando iniziano a cadere le foglie, sentiamo improvvisamente il bisogno di mettere un rossetto scuro (o almeno succede a me) e questo autunno non fa eccezione, infatti gli scaffali delle profumerie si sono già riempiti di rossetti dai colori scuri! Il mio preferito al momento è di Nars nel colore Ingrid. La Nars ha recentemente lanciato una nuova linea di rossetti che si chiama Nars Audacious Lipstick e ogni colore ha un nome di donna. Sono davvero fantastici e il nuovo packaging è bellissimo. Ingrid fa parte di una collezione ad edizione limitata che si trova solo da Barneys e Selfridges, quindi se vi piace non ci penserei troppo. Tra quelli permanenti, ci sono un sacco di colori bellissimi e in Italia li trovate da Sephora! Visto che questa è un'edizione limitata ho voluto includere un altro paio di proposte come il Rouge Coco di Chanel nel colore n. 29 Ballet Russe, il rossetto di Revlon nel colore n. 663 Va va violet e il matitone, sempre di Revlon, nel colore n. 005 Crush. Un altro trend per questa stagione è quello dei rossetti matte e l'uscita più entusiasmante è senza dubbio quella di Charlotte Tilbury con i suoi Matte Revolution lipsticks. È una nuova linea di 10 rossetti tutti matte, ma la cosa più interessante è la texure. Infatti a differenza dei soliti rossetti opachi che seccano le labbra, questi hanno una formula molto più ricca e confortevole sulle labbra. Io ho il colore Amzing Grace che è un bellissimo rosa. Se volete un'alternativa vi consiglio di provare il rossetto di Rimmel by Kate nel colore 05 o il matitone di Revlon nel colore n. 205 Elusive. Ance la Nars fa dei fantastici matitoni opachi e si trovano davvero una serie infinita di colori diversi, da provare! Ultimo ma non meno importante il color Mirtillo. Il mio rossetto preferito in questo colore, è il lip butter di Revlon nel colore Berry Smoothie, è facile da applicare ed  è possibile renderlo più intenso con una seconda (o terza) passata! Mi piacciono tantissimo anche Plumful di Mac e il Chubby stick intense di Clinique nel colore 06 Roomiest Rose. Hello everyone! Last month I got this beautiful set from Nars for Guy Bourdin collection. I'm sure you all know him or heard his name before, Guy Bourdin was a very famous and talented French fashion photographer, his works were provocative, shocking, quite sexy yet surreal. I personally love his photos so I decided to get this set from Nars. I really like the make-up bag and inside you get 5 lip pencils in different colors and finishes. I like Nars lip pencils and this is a nice way to try them out :) This collection is limited edition and you can find it online or at your local Sephora and Nars counters! Do you like it? Ciao a tutti! Il mese scorso ho preso questo bellissimo set della collezione Nars per Guy Boudrin. Sono sicura che lo conoscete già o che quanto meno ne avrete sentito parlare. Guy Boudrin era un famoso e talentuoso fotografo di moda, francese. I suoi lavori erano provocatori, scioccanti, piuttosto sexy ma con un qualcosa di surreale. Personalmente adoro le sue fotografie, quindi quando ho visto la collezione non ho resistito e ho dovuto prendere qualcosa. Ho scelto questa trousse che contiene 5 matite-rossetto per labbra in 5 colori e finiture diverse. Trovo che le matite per labbra di Nars siano ottime e questo è un ottimo modo per provarle :) Questa collezione è un'edizione limitata, quindi se vi piace vi consiglio di non pensarci troppo!
