What's in my fridge aka my summer skin-care routine

Hi everyone! How are you doing? The past few weeks have been hectic and the weather...well was hot as hell! Today I want to share with you a little trick I've been using every time the weather gets crazy hot: I pop my skin care in the fridge! It's nothing revolutionary but it makes the difference. During the warmer months I switch my skin care using lighter products and spring waters like the one from Avène and Serozinc from La Roche-Posay which is great if you have oily or combo skin. I like to use moisturizer in gel form because they're lighter on the skin but still provide the right amount of moisture and when you put your cream and eye cream in the fridge is sooo much more pleasant to apply those products on your face. Of course I have to have a mask in my routine and my favorite at the moment is BB seaweed fresh mask from Lush. It's very soothing and since it's a fresh mask you have to keep it in the fridge so it's perfect when it's super hot outside and you need to refresh your skin! Ciao a tutti! Come state? Le settimane passate sono state davvero intense per me e non parliamo del caldo...davvero pazzesco!! Oggi quindi ho pensato di condividere con voi, un trucchetto che uso in estate: metto i miei prodotti di skin care in frigo. Non è niente di rivoluzionario, lo so, ma vi assicuro che fa la differenza. Nei mesi più caldi tendo a sostituire i miei prodotti per il viso, prediligendo quelli più leggeri e anche alcuni spray come l'acqua termale di Avène e il Serozinc di La Roche-Posay, che è perfetto se avete la pelle grassa o mista. Come crema da giorno mi piace usare prodotti in gel, perché sono più leggeri ma forniscono comunque la giusta idratazione alla mia pelle, stesso discorso per in contorno occhi. Ovviamente nella mia skin care non può mancare una maschera e la mia preferita al momento è Marinella di Lush, è una maschera fresca ad azione calmante. Proprio perché va conservata in frigo è perfetta da usare quando fa caldo e la nostra pelle ha bisogno di una rinfrescata! April Favourites

Hello everyone! So it's time to share the things I've been loving throughout April. First of all we're taking skin care. I had a major breakout at the beginning of the month...let me just tell you that it's still there but thanks to La Roche-Posay Serozinc and Bioderma face wash it's almost gone. Both these products are amazing it you have sensitive skin and like me, you suffer from ormonal/stress breakout from time to time. It seems like I'm really into fragrances at the moment and as I told you I got this Byredo perfume in the scent Gipsy Water. It's such a gorgeous, unique scent, it has notes of lemon, pepper, juniper berries, incense, pine needle, vanilla and even though I'm sure it's not a perfume that everyone likes, if you get it's charme you'll completely fall in love with it! For nails I'd been loving Nails Inc by Victoria Beckham in the shade Bamboo White a lovely, creamy light pink. My lipstick of choice has been Essence Natural Beauty, a super cute pink nude, very moisturizing and quite long lasting, plus it's just about 3 euros so...Last but not least my bracelets, one if from Philippe Audibert and the other I got at a local market.  They're super easy to wear but they make the difference! Ciao a tutti! È il momento di parlare dei miei preferiti del mese di Aprile. Per prima cosa parliamo di cura della pelle. All'inizio del mese mi è venuto uno sfogo terribile...e purtroppo è ancora qui, ma grazie al Serozinc di La Roche-Posay e il gel detergente di Bioderma se ne è andato quasi del tutto. Questi due prodotti sono entrambi fantastici se avete la pelle delicata o facilmente irritabile e come me soffrite occasionalmente di sfoghi ormonali/da stress.  Ultimamente sono fissata con i profumi e come vi dicevo nei post precedenti, ho preso Gipsy Water di Byredo. È una fragranza davvero unica nel suo genere, ha note di limone, pepe, bacche di ginepro, incenso, aghi di pino, vaniglia e anche se probabilmente non è un profumo che piacerà a tutti, vi consiglio di provarlo se vi capita, perché se è nelle vostre corde, ve ne innamorerete perdutamente! Per quando riguarda gli smalti ho usato moltissimo Bamboo White della collezione Nails Inc in collaborazione con Victoria Beckham, è un rosa chiarissimo, molto elegante e dalla consistenza cremosa. Il mio rossetto del mese è stato senza dubbio Natural Beauty di Essence, un delizioso rosa nude, idratante e dalla buona tenuta, poi se considerate che costa circa 3 euro...Per ultimi i miei braccialetti in metallo, mi piace portarli insieme e pur essendo davvero minimal, fanno la differenza! August favourites

Hello everyone! So the end of August as arrived and it's time again to share with you the products I'd been loving. This past month was quite eventful I had lots of work to do in the first part and then it was finally time to go on holiday! Coming back is always bitter-sweet mostly because I'm in a long distance relationship and yesterday it was time to say goodbye which always makes me feel sad...but enough with the rambling and let's dig in into my favourites!

HAIR

During Summer I tend not to do much with my hair but I really enjoyed using Lush Big shampoo! I have a more in depth review here so check it out if you're interested!

SKIN-CARE

When I'm on holiday I always try to take better care of my skin and having more time for myself I like to try some new products, incorporating them in my skin-care routine which didn't really vary for the most part. I picked up a new eye cream as you probably saw in my French pharmacy haul. It's from Bioderma and it's part of their Créaline range, it's a gel for sensitive skin and it's very light and refreshing! Another favourite of mine is Serozinc face mist from La Roche-Posay. It's a toner that you're supposet to spiritz on your face to keep it break-out free! Highly recommended!

BODY

I'm not very into sun bathing and I always wear a high SPF because I'm quite fair so when I'm on holiday I always make sure to pack a nice SPF. My favourite was Garnier Ambra Solarie Resisto 50+ and yes it's for kids but works great and the spray can it's very easy to use and throw in your beach bag! Another favourite of mine was Caudalie nourishing body lotion. I picked up the travel size which is more convenient for travelling, it doesn't contain parabens or minarl olis and smells relly nice!

MAKE-UP

You probably can tell that during Summer I'm not the best make-up wearer XD I just go with the flow! The only products I really used apart from mascara (same as last month: Bobbi Brown smokey eye mascara) are a lip balm from L'Oreal in the color n. 701 Rose me on, which is a slightly tinted glossy balm and a blush from Clinique in the color n. 03 berry pop.

RANDOM

Being on the beach and out and about all day I like to keep my hair out of my face and the best way to do it is using this elastic ribbon hairbands! These are from H&M I believe but you can find them anywhere! They don't live a kink in your hair and they're not harsh so they won't damage your hair! Last but not least is this silver ring my boyfriend bought for me while we were on holiday! It's simple but very unique and reminds me of him so I basically haven't take it off since I got it!

Ciao a tutti! Siamo arrivati alla fine di Agosto e quindi è tempo di parlarvi dei prodotti che ho amato questo mese. Devo dire che Agosto per me è stato davvero un mese pienissimo, ho lavorato un sacco la prima parte e poi finalmente sono andata in vacanza! Il rientro è sempre dolce-amaro per me, principalmente perché ho una relazione a distanza e quindi ieri sera, dopo tanti giorni insiemte, io e il mio ragazzo ci siamo salutati...cosa che mi rende sempre un po' triste...ma torniamo al post e cominciamo a vedere quali sono stati i miei prodotti preferiti del mese!

CAPELLI

In estate, tendo a non fare molto ai miei capelli, ma un prodotto che ho usato moltissimo è lo shampo Big di Lush! Ho fatto una recensione più approfondita qui, quindi andate a dare un'occhiata se siete interessati!

VISO

Quando sono in vacanza, approfitto sempre per prendermi maggiore cura della mia pelle e visto che ho un po' più di tempo da dedicare a me stessa, mi piace provare nuovi prodotti e incorporarli nella mia routine, che per la maggior parte rimane la stessa. Ho preso una nuova crema per il contorno occhi, come forse avrete visto nel mio post French pharmacies. È di Bioderma e appartiene alla linea Créaline. È un gel per le pelli sensibili e lo trovo molto fresco e leggero! Un altro dei miei preferiti è senza dubbio lo spray Serozinc di La Roche-Posay. È un tonico che si spruzza sul viso per mantenere la pelle senza impurità! Consigliatissimo!

CORPO

Non amo prendere il sole e metto sempre una protezione solare alta, perché avendo la pelle chiara tendo a scottarmi. Quest'anno ho messo in valigia la protezione di Garnier Ambra Solarie Resisto 50+, e sì è un prodotto per bambini, ma mi ci sono trovata benissimo. Non è troppo unta e la confezione è pratica da usare e mettere nella borsa da mare! Per quanto riguarda l'idratazione, mi è piaciuta molto la crema per il corpo di Caudalie. Ho preso una confezione da viaggio perché è comoda da portare in giro, non contiene parabeni, oli minerali e ha un profumo molto buono!

MAKE-UP

Come potete vedere, durante l'estate non amo truccarmi XD Gli unici prodotti che ho davvero utilizzato, oltre ovviamente al mascara (che è lo stesso del mese scorso, lo Smokey eye mascara di Bobbi Brown) sono un balsamo per labbra e un po' di blush. Il balsamo per le labbra è di L'Oreal, nel colore n. 701 Rose me on, che è una sorta di balsamo colorato dal finish glossy. L'ho preso in Francia e non penso che da noi sia arrivato, ma c'erano un sacco di colori carini, quindi speriamo di vederlo spuntare prima o poi! Il blush invece è di Clinique nel colore n. 03 berry pop.

RANDOM

Quando sono sulla spiaggia o fuori tutto il giorno, mi piace avere i capelli raccolti e il modo migliore per farlo è utilizzare questi elastici annodati. I miei penso di averli presi da H&M, ma si trovano un po' ovunque! Non lasciano segni nei capelli e soprattutto non li spezzano, inoltre sono carini da portare al polso, così ne avrete sempre un paio con voi! Ultimo ma non meno importante è questo anellino in argento, che mi ha regalato il mio ragazzo mentre eravamo in vacanza. È semplice ma ha una forma davvero carina e poi mi ricorda lui, quindi praticamente non l'ho mai tolto da quando me lo ha regalato!

E questo è tutto per quanto riguarda i miei prodotti preferiti di Agosto! Mi sembra incredibile che il prossimo post sui preferiti lo farò in Autunno!! Io non vedo l'ora e voi?

French Pharmacies

If you are a beauty addict like I am, next time you go to France, make sure to visit one of their Pharmacies! They're definitely not your average pharmacy and there you can find an insane amount of skincare and some make-up as well. If you've never been to one beforeit can be a little overwhelming but the choice it's really impressive. Whenever I go to France I make sure to take a trip to one of the local pharmacies, they're not all the same and some are definitely better stocked than others but overall I can always find something worth the trip! This time I decided to stock up on Bioderma! I can find Sensibio cleansing water where I live, but in France is sooo much cheaper (I got two huge bottles for the price of one), then I decided to try a few more products from that same range, there's also a range for oily/combo skin but I don't like it at all. I got a gel eye cream which I already tried and like a lot, a gel cleanser and a BB cream. The cleanser and BB cream are targeted for skin with redness, which I tend to get especially in the cooler months so I thought it might be a good idea to pick them up and see how I like them! The last thing I got is Serozinc by La Roche-Posay, which is basically a toner, for problematic skin in a spray form. I heard great things about it but I can't find it where I live so I decided to pick up a couple! Have you ever been to a french pharmacy? Have you tryied any of these products? Have a lovely day!

Se anche voi siete appassionati di prodotti di bellezza, la prossima volta che andate in Francia ricordatevi di fare un salto in una delle loro farmacie! Scordatevi il nostro concetto di farmacia, le farmacie francesi nascondono un vero tesoro per quello che riguarda la skin care! Gli scaffali traboccano di creme e cremine di ogni tipo, oltre a trucchi e smalti (e le medicine ovviamente XD). Se non ci siete mai stati, può essere un'esperienza destabilizzante all'inizio, ma la scelta che offrono è davvero favolosa. Non tutte sono fornite allo stesso modo, ma vale comunque la pena farsi un giro e se siete come me, troverete sicuramente qualcosa che attirerà la vostra attenzione! Questa volta ho deciso di fare scorta dell'acqua miscellare di Bioderma, infatti anche se la trovo facilmente in farmacia in Italia, in Francia costa mooolto meno (ho preso due enormi bottiglie al prezzo di una). Poi ho deciso di provare un altro paio di prodotti della stessa linea, esiste una linea per pelli grasse e miste ma non mi piace affatto. Ho preso un contorno occhi, che ho già provato e posso anticiparvi che mi sta piacendo moltissimo, un gel per la pulizia del viso e una BB cream. Sia il gel che la BB cream sono indicate per le pelli che tendono ad arrossarsi e questo è un problema che mi riguarda, specialmente nei mesi più freddi, quindi ho pensato che fosse l'occasione perfetta per provarli! Per finire ho preso il Serozinc di La Roche-Posay, un tonico in spray, indicato per le pelli problematiche. Ho letto ottime recensioni a riguardo, quindi ho deciso di testarlo! Voi siete mai stati nelle farmacie francesi? Avete provato alcuni di questi prodotti?
