I got this cream last year for Christmas and since it's very expensive I decided to go through the entire jar before giving you guys my thoughts about it. As you can see I have the gel version which is lighter and more suitable for oily or combination skin. The texture is very nice, it's a gel but you can definitely feel its moisturizing power. I like the consistency because it gives my skin the right amount of moist without make it look or feel greasy. You don't need much product to cover your entire face but while I was in NYC I learned a trick to make it last even longer. I was talking to a beauty advisor in Henri Bendel and she told me she likes to mix a drop of this cream with her favourite serum, this way you really need a tiny drop and you'll make the best use out of the product. I use it once a day as my day cream and I finished the jar at the beginning of last month so it lasted me 10 months which is good in my opinion. My skin really likes this cream and I definitely saw an improvement in my skin but keep in mind that if you don't take good care of your skin (cleansing, removing make up, using spf) this product alone is not enough. La Mer is a very expensive brand and this gel cream retails for about € 140 for 30ml so it's quite an investment. I loved the product and I will buy it again. In my opinion it worth the hype even tough I'm sure you can find cheaper moisturizer which will do the trick for you. If you're interested in giving it a go ask for a sample at your local beauty counter and try it. Christmas it just round the corner and this is something which I wouldn't mind finding under my Christmas tree!

Ho ricevuto questa crema in regalo lo scorso Natale e visto che è un prodotto piuttosto costoso, ho voluto aspettare di finire la confezione prima di condividere con voi la mia opinione a riguardo. Come potete vedere io ho la versione in gel, che è più leggera della crema e quindi si adatta meglio alle pelli grasse e miste. La consistenza è davvero piacevole e sebbene sia un gel si sente subito il suo potere idratante che però non lascia la pelle oleosa. Non serve molto prodotto, ma in ogni caso mentre ero a NY ho imparato un trucco per farla durare ancora di più. Una delle esperte del reparto beauty di Henri Bendel mi detto che lei mischia una piccola quantità del suo siero preferito alla crema così ne serve ancora meno e una confezione dura davvero una vita! Io la uso una volta al giorno, di solito al mattino e ho finito la confezione che vedete qui sopra all'inizio di Ottobre quindi diciamo che mi è durata circa 10 mesi, che secondo me non è affatto male. La mia pelle adora questa cream e devo dire che usandola costantemente ho visto dei miglioramenti e in generale ho avuto meno brufoletti del solito, ovviamente considerate prima di tutto, che se non vi prendere cura della vostra pelle in maniera completa (detergere, struccare, applicare la protezione solare), questo prodotto da solo non farà miracoli. La Mer offre ottimi prodotti ma sono tutti molto costosi, questa crema in gel viene venduta a un prezzo di circa € 140 per 30ml di prodotto, quindi come vedete è un vero e proprio investimento. Personalmente amo questo prodotto e lo ricomprerei, secondo me si merita l'ottima fama che ha anche se sono sicura che in giro potete trovare prodotti più economici che funzionano altrettanto bene per voi. Il mio consiglio, se siete curiose di provarla, è di andare nella profumeria più vicina e chiedere un campioncino per poterla provare e decidere se fa per voi o no. E poi ricordatevi che Natale è davvero vicino e a chi non piacerebbe trovare un regalo come questo sotto l'albero?! Spero che la mia recensione vi sia utile e vi auguro una buona giornata!
