November favourites

Hello! I know we're already counting down to Christmas...but I still wanted to share with my favourites! First of all let's talk about Selvert Thermal Crème lift redensifiante. I was curious to try it but I wasn't quite sure how my super senstive skin would react, well so far so good! My skin really loves this product and although my skin is combination, it gives the right amount of moisture without feeling greasy or  just too much (read more about Selvert Thermal products here)! Moving on to make-up I adore Nuxe Bio Beauté BB cream, very hydrating and light on the skin, it provides a slight coverage which is perfect for no-make-up-make-up looks. To set it I use Bourjois Healthy balance powder, which is my new favourite powder of all times, seriously guys, you need to try it! For lipstick I've been obsessed with Caroline de Maigret collab with Lancome and the lipstick in question is n. 205 Rose de Peau Nue, a lovely balm that keeps your lips looking fab all day! Talking about nails, my favourite color for the season is burgundy and Bordeaux for H&M is such a lovely shade!!

I wanted to include a couple randoms, my silver rings, which are my obsession at the moment and Garance Doré book "Love, Style, Life". It's a beautiful book, interesting to read and to look at, full of tips, tricks, gorgeous illustrations and all in witty Garance style.

Ciao! Lo so ormai siamo vicinissimi a Natale, ma voglio ugualmente condividere con voi i miei preferiti di Novembre, anche se un po' in ritardo ;) Per prima cosa voglio parlarvi della crema Lift redensifiante di Selvert Thermal. Ero davvero curiosa di provarla, ma allo stesso tempo non avevo idea di come la mia pelle super sensibile, avrebbe reagito. Beh devo dire che per ora è amore e nonostante abbia la pelle mista, il livello di idratazione di questo prodotto è molto ben bilanciato e non ho mai la sensazione di avere la pelle unta o troppo appesantita (se volete saperne di più leggete qui). Parlando invece di trucchi, il primo prodotto che voglio presentarvi, è la BB cream della nuova linea bio di Nuxe. Ha una formulazione idratante, ma leggerissima, la coprenza leggera è perfetta per quei giorni in cui vogliamo un look naturale. Per fissarla uso la cipria Healthy Balance di Bourjois, che è senza dubbio la mia preferita di sempre. Se non la conoscete, dovete provarla, non ve ne pentirete! Caroline de Maigret ha collaborato con Lancome per creare una collezione di trucchi in stile parigino, e il rossetto n. 205 Rose de Peau Nue è stupendo. Si tratta quasi più di burrocacao, è molto idratante e quindi perfetto per le giornate fredde invernali. Parliamo invece di unghie, il mio colore preferito per la stagione è decisamente il borgogna e Bordeaux di H&M, rappresenta alla perfezione la mia idea! Per finire volevo includere un paio di cose random. La prima sono gli anelli in argento, che sono la mia fissa del momento e poi il libro di Garance Doré, "Love, Style, Life". È davvero bello, interessante da leggere e da guardare. Pieno di consigli, bellissime illustrazioni e immagini, tutto condito dallo stile di Garance.

Ready for Summer?

So Summer is finally here and I couldn't be more excited! During the warmer months I feel like we should take better care of our skin and protect it from the sun. I was looking for a new BB cream to try out and I heard Chanel is doing one which has SPF 50, which sounded really interesting but as you can imagine it's quite expensive so I decided to try this one from Kiehl's which has SPF 50 as well and it's more affordable. Like (almost) all BB creams it doesn't have much coverage and the shades range is not very wide but it's still really nice and ligh on the skin and if you like a natural finish I'm sure you'll love this product. To go along with the BB cream I also got a lip balm because you likes dry lips?! I've never tried the Kiehl's one and I heard so many people rave about it...we'll see if it's really that good ;) What about you? What are your favourite products at the moment?

L'estate è finalmente arrivata e non potrei essere più felice! Durante i mesi esitiv è sempre bene prendersi maggiore cura della propria pelle e in particolare, proteggerla dal sole. A questo proposito stavo cercando una nuova BB cream e ho visto che Chanel ne ha una con protezione 50 che mi aveva incuriosito. Come immaginerete è decisamente cara, quindi alla fine ho optato per la BB cream di Kiehl's, visto che anche questa ha una protezione 50 e il prezzo è decisamente più ragionevole. Come (quasi) tutte le BB cream, non ha una grandissima coprenza e la scelta dei colori è limitata, ma ha un finish radioso e una texture leggerissima, perfetta per i mesi più caldi. Se anche voi amate il look naturale, sono sicura che vi piacerà. Visto che c'ero, ho deciso di provare anche il famoso lip balm della Kiehl's, perché a chi piace avere le labbra secche?! Ne ho sempre sentito parlare benissimo, quindi vedremo se è all'altezza delle aspettative ;) Voi che ne dite? Quali sono i vostri prodotti preferiti per la stagione?

French Pharmacies

If you are a beauty addict like I am, next time you go to France, make sure to visit one of their Pharmacies! They're definitely not your average pharmacy and there you can find an insane amount of skincare and some make-up as well. If you've never been to one beforeit can be a little overwhelming but the choice it's really impressive. Whenever I go to France I make sure to take a trip to one of the local pharmacies, they're not all the same and some are definitely better stocked than others but overall I can always find something worth the trip! This time I decided to stock up on Bioderma! I can find Sensibio cleansing water where I live, but in France is sooo much cheaper (I got two huge bottles for the price of one), then I decided to try a few more products from that same range, there's also a range for oily/combo skin but I don't like it at all. I got a gel eye cream which I already tried and like a lot, a gel cleanser and a BB cream. The cleanser and BB cream are targeted for skin with redness, which I tend to get especially in the cooler months so I thought it might be a good idea to pick them up and see how I like them! The last thing I got is Serozinc by La Roche-Posay, which is basically a toner, for problematic skin in a spray form. I heard great things about it but I can't find it where I live so I decided to pick up a couple! Have you ever been to a french pharmacy? Have you tryied any of these products? Have a lovely day!

Se anche voi siete appassionati di prodotti di bellezza, la prossima volta che andate in Francia ricordatevi di fare un salto in una delle loro farmacie! Scordatevi il nostro concetto di farmacia, le farmacie francesi nascondono un vero tesoro per quello che riguarda la skin care! Gli scaffali traboccano di creme e cremine di ogni tipo, oltre a trucchi e smalti (e le medicine ovviamente XD). Se non ci siete mai stati, può essere un'esperienza destabilizzante all'inizio, ma la scelta che offrono è davvero favolosa. Non tutte sono fornite allo stesso modo, ma vale comunque la pena farsi un giro e se siete come me, troverete sicuramente qualcosa che attirerà la vostra attenzione! Questa volta ho deciso di fare scorta dell'acqua miscellare di Bioderma, infatti anche se la trovo facilmente in farmacia in Italia, in Francia costa mooolto meno (ho preso due enormi bottiglie al prezzo di una). Poi ho deciso di provare un altro paio di prodotti della stessa linea, esiste una linea per pelli grasse e miste ma non mi piace affatto. Ho preso un contorno occhi, che ho già provato e posso anticiparvi che mi sta piacendo moltissimo, un gel per la pulizia del viso e una BB cream. Sia il gel che la BB cream sono indicate per le pelli che tendono ad arrossarsi e questo è un problema che mi riguarda, specialmente nei mesi più freddi, quindi ho pensato che fosse l'occasione perfetta per provarli! Per finire ho preso il Serozinc di La Roche-Posay, un tonico in spray, indicato per le pelli problematiche. Ho letto ottime recensioni a riguardo, quindi ho deciso di testarlo! Voi siete mai stati nelle farmacie francesi? Avete provato alcuni di questi prodotti?

June favourites

It's July and this means it's time for me to share with you my June favourites!!

BODY

This Dove deodorant has such a fresh smell of pomegrane and lemon! I love it :)

HAIR

For hair I'd been loving the Macadamia natural oil deep repair mask. I use it once a week because I don't want my hair to get used to it. It leaves my hair super soft and they smell nice all day ^^

I also really loved my Tangle Tezeer, detangles my hair reducing the breakage, plus it's tiny and easy to carry around! Love it!

 

FACE

If you're on the market for a new SPF for your face I definitely recommend to check out this one from Kiehl's. It's just great! The texture is very light and it hasn't break my out. Works great also as a make up base.

RANDOM

This month I've been loving this straw fedora which add a nice touch to every outfit and it works great on bad hair days XD 

Since I really love my Casio mini watch in gold I decided to get it in silver too and this past month I've been wearing it non stop :)

MAKE-UP

Looks like June was all about make up for me...as you can see I've quite a few products to show you! I got the new Dior BB cream and well it's just fabulous! I like to apply it with Real Techniques expert face brush for a flawless finish. It doesn't give much coverage but what I like about BB creams is the natural look they gave you. I know it's expensive but if you want to invest in a good BB cream go check this one out!

I also rediscovered my love for Pinch me blush by Mac a lovely pink and very natural blush. For my eyes I'd been loving Maybelline color tattoo in On and on bronze, paired with Mac eyepencil in Teddy and for my lips just Revlon which is my favourite drugstore brand. My picks for June were Pink Sizzle lipstick and Pink pop lipgloss both super pretty on their own but also together!

NAILS

For nail polish my fave for the month was Chanel Cinéma a bold red color which goes with everything :)

CORPO

Questo deodorante di Dove, ha un profumo così fresco di limone e melograno! Lo adoro :)

CAPELLI

Per i capelli questo mese ho davvero adorato la Macadamia natural oil deep repair mask. La uso una volta alla settimana perchè non voglio che i miei capelli si abituino. Lascia i capelli morbidissimi e profumati per tutto il giorno ^^

Un altro prodotto che ho utilizzato moltissimo è la spazzola Tangle Tezeer, che mi piace perchè districa i capelli senza spezzarli e inoltre è piccolina, quindi facile da portarsi dietro.

VISO

Se siete alla ricerca di una buona protezione solare per il viso, vi consiglio di provare questa di Kiehl's. E' fantastica! La sua formulazione leggera non unge e quindi evita la formazione di brufoli. E' ottima anche da usare come base per il trucco.

RANDOM

Questo mese ho adorato questo cappello di paglia, che secondo me aggiunge un tocco in più anche agli outfit più semplici ed è fantastico nei giorni in cui non andiamo d'accordo con i nostri capelli XD

Visto che adoro il mio mini orologio della Casio color oro, ho deciso di prenderne uno anche nel color argento e lo scorso mese l'ho indossato praticamente tutti i giorni :)

 

TRUCCHI

Sembra proprio che Giugno sia stato un mese dove ho adorato i trucchi...come potete vedere ne ho inseriti un bel po'! Ho preso la nuova BB cream di Dior e beh è favolosa! Mi piace applicarla con il pennello expert face brush della Real Tecnique per ottenere un risultato più preciso. Non ha molta coprenza, ma alla fine è proprio questo che mi piace delle BB cream e cioè l'aspetto naturale che danno. So che è costosa, ma se volte investire in un ottimo prodotto vi consiglio vivamente di provarla. L'unica pecca è che la fanno solo in 3 colori con sottotoni abbastanza marcati, quindi fatevi dare un campioncino prima di comprarla per essere sicure di aver scelto la giusta tonalità. Per quando rigurda il blush ho riscoperto Pinch me di Mac, un colore rosa molto naturale. Per gli occhi la combinazione che ho usato di più è stata Maybelline color tattoo e la matita di Mac Teddy. Per le labbra invece tutti prodotti Revlon, che come sapete è una delle mie marche preferite. I colori che ho scelto per Giugno sono stati Pink sizzle e il lucidalabbra nel colore Pink Pop, carinissimi da soli ma anche insieme!

 

UNGHIE

Per quanto riguarda lo smalto, il mio preferito del mese è stato senza dubbio Cinéma di Chanel. Un bellissimo rosso intenso che va bene con tutto!

April favourites

Hello everyone! So this month I decided to start doing my monthly favourites to show you my most used and loved products every month :) Let's get started!!

FRAGRANCE

This month my favourite fragrance was definitey Marc by Marc Jacobs Daisy eau so fresh, it's perfect for Spring! 

BODY

For my body I liked a lot Lush Ro's Argan body conditioner, smells like roses and leave your skin super soft. 

HAIR

For my hair I enjoyed another Lush product: American Cream conditioner. Smells like heaven and leave your hair soft and conditioned without being too heavy.

I also really like to style my hair with headband and my most used is this one from H&M

FACE

This month I started using a new eye cream by Herborist and it's so good! It's very light but does the job. I also loved Caudalie Vinoperfect serum. I suffer from hyperpigmentation and this thing really helps.

NAILS

When Spring arrives I cannot wait to wear minty color and my favourite is Revlon Minted.

RANDOM

I like to lit candles in my room and my favourite Spring scent is Pink Lady Slipper by Yankee Candle

MAKE-UP

Most of these products you've already seen if you follow my blog :) they're so big favourites of mine!! Frivole blush by Chanel is a gorgeous coral and Naked basic palette hasn't left my makeup bag since I got it. You can do anything from a neautral day look to a full on smokey eye! Erborian BB cream is perfect for a natural look and paired with Max Factor mascara is one of my favourites combos for "non makeup-makeup" look.

Last but not least two lip products: Elizabeth Arden lip balm a must have to keep your lips always moisturized and Mac Syrup lovely natural color perfect for day and night!

Ciao ragazzi! A partire da questo mese ho deciso di iniziare a postare i miei prodotti preferiti e più usati di ogni mese :) così possono descrivervi meglio alcuni dei miei must have!! Cominciamo!!

PROFUMO

Questo mese il mio profumo preferito è stato decisamente Daisy eau so fresh di Marc by Marc Jacobs. Ha un delizioso profumo fresco e floreale che è perfetto per la primavera.

CORPO

Come prodotto per il corpo ho usato moltissimo Regina di Rose di Lush. Una crema per il corpo che si usa sotto la doccia, profuma di rose e lascia la pelle morbidissima!!

CAPELLI

Per i capelli vi propongo un altro prodotto della Lush, il balsamo Delizia. Che ha un profumo di frutta e spezie e lascia i capelli nutriti e morbidissimi senza appesantirli.

Sempre parlando di capelli ho usato un sacco anche questo cerchietto elastico di H&M, perfetto per raccogliere i capelli in maniera carina e veloce!

VISO

Questo mese ho iniziato ad usare un nuovo prodotto per il contorno occhi. E' della Herborist e mi piace perchè idrata ma è fresco e leggero. Ho usato moltissimo anche il siero della Caudalie Vinoperfec, che aiuta ad attenuare le macchie lasciate dai brufoli.

UNGHIE

Quando arriva la Primavera non vedo l'ora di usare il colore menta, anche sulle unghie. Questo mese ho usato un sacco Minted della Revlon, ottima qualità e colore delizioso!

RANDOM

Come sapete mi piace accendere candele profumate nella mia stanza e Pink Lady Splipper di Yankee Candle è perfetta in questa stagione!

TRUCCHI

Se seguite il mio blog avrete già visto la maggior parte di questi prodotti :) sono infatti tra i miei preferiti!! Questo mese ho praticamente usato solo Frivole di Chanel, che con il suo colore corallo mi fa impazzire. Per gli occhi ho usato la Naked Basic Palette, che da quando l'ho presa non ha più lasciato la mia trousse XD ci potete fare di tutto, da un trucco super semplice da giorno ha uno smokey eye di tutto rispetto! La BB cream di Erborian e il mascara False lash effect di Max Factor sono perfetti insieme per creare un look super naturale come piace a me. In fine due prodotti per le labbra: il lip balm di Elizabeh Arden e il rossetto della Mac Syrup perfetto sia per il giorno che per la sera!

Hi everyone! Today I want to talk you about this BB cream I've been loving lately. As you know I'm a huge fan of BB creams because they give you a very natural look that despite the imperfections of my skin is the look I'm looking for :) Before this one I was using L'Oreal nude magique which I love as well but lately due to the cold weather I felt like I needed to give my skin a little bit more moisture. What made me go for this Erborian BB cream was the consistency: less liquid than the L'Oreal one and my skin immediately feels and looks fresh and moist and even though my skin is combination it not makes me look oily. The finish is amazing it really gives you baby skin like it says on the packaging and it also has SPF 25. It's buildable so the coverage is ok...I mean if you need good coverage it won't do the trick but if you want to achieve a natural look you can pair it with some concealer and you're good to go! The BB cream comes in two sizes this small one which contains 15 ml for €12,90 and a bigger one which is 45ml for €32. The downside is that it comes just in two colors: Original the one I got which is light and Doré a darker and yellower tone. If you're looking for a good BB cream I recommend you check out this one, the little tube is not too expensive and you don't need much product so it's going to last you long enough to see how you like it!

Ciao a tutti! Oggi voglio parlarvi di questa BB cream che uso da un po' e mi piace tantissimo. Come sapete, sono una grande fan delle BB cream perchè hanno un effetto molto naturale e nonostante le imprefezioni della mia pelle mi aiutano a raggiungere il risultato che cerco :) Prima di provare questa crema, usavo la L'Oreal Nude Magique che mi piace moltissimo, ma visto che il clima ultimamente è stato davvero freddissimo sentivo il bisogno di trovare un prodotto che desse alla mia pelle una maggiore idratazione. Quello che mi ha fatto optare per la BB cream della Erborian è stata la consistenza, che è meno liquida rispetto alla crema della L'Oreal, quando la applico la mia pelle appare subito più luminosa e idratata e anche se ho la pelle mista non crea un effetto oleoso. L'aspetto finale è davvero incredibile e da proprio l'impressione di avere la pelle come quella di un bambino, come promette sulla confezione, contiene inoltre la protezione solare SPF25, che non fa mai male. Applicandola più volte si può aumentare la coprenza, ma tenete presente che se avete bisogno di molta coprenza questo prodotto non fa per voi. Se invece, come me, volte ottenere un look naturale, coprendo le imperfezioni con un po' di correttore sono sicura che vi troverete benissimo! La BB cream della Erborian viene prodotta in due formati: quello piccolo da 15 ml che costa €12,90 (è quello che ho preso io) e uno grande da 45 ml che costa €32. L'unica pecca secondo me è che come molte BB cream non offre una grande scelta per quanto riguarda i colori. Infatti ne esistono solo due, Original un colore chiaro che è quello che ho preso io e Doré dalla tonalità più scura, tendente al giallo. Comunque se cercate una buona BB cream vi consiglio di provarla, è davvero un ottimo prodotto e vi consiglio di prendere la confezione piccola, non costa molto e vi durerà abbastanza per capire se la BB cream vi piace o meno!

BB cream

I'm not a big fan of liquid foundation even though my skin does need some coverage; so after some hesitations I decided to try a BB cream! I admit that I just grabbed the first one in the store that had a tester to try out the color and it happened to be l'Oreal nude magique in light. As you can see in the pics below the cream come out of the tube white and with a grainy texture (but you don't feel it on your skin). It blends really well on my skin and gives me a fresh and even complexion, which I really like! I've being trying this out for the past couple weeks and I'm really pleased with the result! The only downside is that a BB cream doesn't provide much coverage, but it's part of the natural look it gives so I don't mind! After I apply the BB cream I set it with M.A.C. mineralize skin finish (I use the shade medium plus). Then mascara, lipstick...et voilà you're good to go ;) I hope you like it!!

Non amo molto il fondotinta liquido, anche se la mia pelle non è certo perfetta e quando mi trucco ho bisogno di un po' di copertura. Quindi dopo varie esitazioni mi sono decisa a provare la BB cream! Ammetto di aver preso la prima che ho trovato in negozio che avesse un tester per provare il colore e così ho mi sono ritrovata tra le mani la l'Oreal nude magique nel colore più chiaro. Come potete vedere dalle foto sotto, la crema esce dal tubetto bianca e ha un aspetto granuloso (che però non si sente sulla pelle). Si stende benissimo e il colore si fonde perfettamente con quello della mia pelle, dandomi un aspetto fresco e un colorito uniforme che mi piace molto! La sto provando da qualche settimana e devo dire che sono proprio soddisfatta dell'acquisto! L'unico difetto, se così si può dire, è che non è molto coprente, ma è proprio per questo che l'effetto è super naturale, quindi a me non dispiace :) Dopo aver steso la BB cream, uso una cipria per settare il tutto. Al momento sto usando la mineralize skin finish si M.A.C. (nel colore medium plus). Poi mascara, un velo di rossetto...et voilà pronte per uscire ;)
