I’m pretty sure all the bag addict out there spotted this cool little phone case in the hands of the models at Louis Vuitton show during Paris Fashion week last season.
The inspiration is clearly the Petit Malle a bag created in 2014 by Nicolas Ghesquière. The shape is inspired by the maison iconic luxury luggage line, as the name suggests. So it took a minute to realize that the gorgeous pieces the models was holding on the runway weren’t clutches but actually phones.
We are constantly holding our phones as we do with a clutch so why not turn the phone case into a little work of art. In its 2.0 version it even had hear phones cover, that seems to be gone now .
As expected the price is a little bit off-putting...we're talking about 800-850 euros for the more simple designs but it's LV you know...
It's definitely an edgy (not so) little item and I like it for it's uniqueness, do you?

Sono certa che a tutte le fanatiche di borse non sarà sfuggita la deliziosa cover per iPhone che le modelle di Louis Vuitton tenevano in mano durante la sfilata della Fashion Week a Parigi la stagione scorsa.
L’ispirazione è chiaramente la Petit Malle, una clutch creata da Nicolas Ghesquière per il marchio nel 2014. La forma prende spunto dagli iconici bauli da viaggio della maison, come appunto suggerisce il nome. Infatti a primo impatto queste cover sembrano proprio delle borsette e mi ci è voluto un po’ prima di realizzare che quello che le modelle stringevano in mano era un telefono.
Siamo sempre con il cellulare in mano, quindi perché non impreziosirlo con una bellissima cover come questa, che nella sua versione 2.0 aveva addirittura ha un copri cuffie, che pare poi sia stato eliminato nella versione definitiva.
Come previsto il prezzo non è proprio alla portata di tutti, si parla di 800-850 euro per i modelli meno elaborati, ma dopo tutto si tratta di LV...

Mi piace prendermi cura della mia pelle e adoro provare nuovi prodotti, quindi tendo a cambiare spesso la mia skin care routine. L’ultima novità arriva da Selvert Thermal, la famosa casa cosmetica svizzera.
Ho avuto il piacere di provare per voi alcuni prodotti della nuova linea Régéneration Absolute, formulata con le tecnologie più avanzate, che contiene Estratto Proteico della bava di lumaca. Una linea mirata a riparare la pelli mature o le pelli che sono state danneggiate da fattori esterni, agendo a livello cellulare, donando alla pelle una nuova elasticità, struttura e luminosità. Fantastico no?
La Crema rigeneratrice è molto idratante, perfetta da usare nei mesi più freddi specialmente se avete la pelle secca, per le pelli grasse consiglio invece la versione in gel. Piacevole da applicare, questa crema si assorbe facilmente lasciando la pelle idrata e non unta. Grazie all’estratto di bava di lumaca, aiuta a schiarire le macchie lasciate dai brufoli e in generale rende l’incarnato più luminoso e compatto.

It may be the first date or the millionth but it’s always nice to have that special time with your significant other and today I wanted to share with you my three tips to plan the perfect date night!
Take your time and plan your outfit. Doesn’t matter if you’re going for a picnic in the park or a super fancy dinner, take all the time you need to make yourself ready. Take a bath and put on a mask (but remember this is not the time to experiment so stick with products you know) and pick the right outfit. Choose clothes that makes you feel good but don’t forget to be yourself! My favorite trick is to add an edgy bag, to the look that makes even the simplest of outfits pop!
Make it special. Every date should be unique, pay attention to the details and make every date your own. Choose a meaningful location, for example I love the South of France and if you can’t physically go there you can try to recreate that kind of vibe for a home cooked dinner. Put on some French music, open a bottle of Bordeaux, a cheese platter and you’ll feel like you’re having dinner in Saint Tropez!
Go on a road trip! There’s nothing better than a little get-away. May it be a trip to the beach or a weekend away in Venice, changing your surroundings might add that extra umph to your date! You may plan it or just get in your car and drive wherever the night takes you. If you want to be extra fancy and impress your date you can rent a sporty car for the occasion. Recently I came across turo a website that allows you to rent private cars at a fraction of agency prices. Renting the car directly for its owner allows you to get the car of your dreams in a hassle-free, extremely easy way! You can get it just for one night or if you’re traveling, you can rent the car you need for the duration of your stay!

Che sia il primo appuntamento o il milionesimo è sempre piacevole dedicare una serata speciale alla persona a cui siamo legati e oggi voglio condividere con voi i miei tre consigli per organizzare la serata perfetta!
Prendetevi il vostro tempo per prepararvi e pianificate il vostro look. Non importa se andate a fare un picnic o una cena elegante, assicuratevi di avere il giusto tempo da dedicare a voi stessi. Fate un bagno, una maschera purificante (ma mi raccomando, questo non è il momento per sperimentare, affidatevi a prodotti che già conoscete) e scegliete con calma il vostro look. Sia che scegliate un mise casual, che un outfit super elegante non dimenticate di restare fedeli a voi stessi e scegliere capi che vi valorizzano e vi facciano sentire a vostro agio. Personalmente mi piace aggiungere un tocco speciale ai miei look, che può essere una borsa colorata o un accessorio particolare.
Rendetela speciale. Ogni appuntamento dovrebbe essere unico nel suo genere e penso che sia importante dedicare una certa attenzione ai dettagli. Scegliete un posto che abbia un significato, per esempio io amo il sud della Francia e penso che sarebbe carinissimo ricreare quel genere di atmosfera per una cena a casa. Mettete un po’ di musica francese, stappate un bottiglia di Bordeaux e iniziate servendo un piatto di formaggi francesi. Vi sentirete come a Saint Tropez ed il successo è assicurato!
Partite per un viaggio. Non c’è niente di meglio che una piccola fuga, che sia un fine settimana all’estero o una semplice gita ad un’ora da casa, cambiare aria aggiunge quel non so che di speciale! Potete pianificarla o improvvisare e se volete davvero fare colpo, presentatevi con un auto sportiva. Di recente ho scoperto turo un sito americano che permette di noleggiare auto direttamente dal proprietario, rendendo il processo nettamente più semplice e conveniente che tramite agenzia. In Italia non abbiamo una cosa simile ma al mio prossimo viaggio in America lo proverò sicuramente!

I love skin care, probably even more than make-up so I’m always willing to try new products to see what’s good and what’s not. In the past months I added 5 new products to my skin care routine and I decided to share them with you.
My skin at the moment is not at its best, I have rosacea so it’s really irritated and prone to breakouts so I need to use very gentle products. I was in need of some sort of cleanser and I picked up Pschitt Magique from Garancia a foaming, micropeeling cleanser. It’s very delicate on the skin, smells amazing and it refines your complexion without irritating the skin.
I was looking for something to combact acne as well as fine lines and it looks like retion is the way to go! I chose Redermic R from La-Roche Posay and I tried to be consisten and use it every single night (you can apply up to twice a day). After a month I’m starting to see the first results and my skin appears less dull and the fine lines are not as noticeable.
If you use retionl on your skin you need to protect it from the sun so to get along with my retinol cream I got The Body Shop Skin Defence. It’s a 50+ sunscreen, very light, non sticky and it doesn’t break me out. Since the texture is so light you can apply it under make-up and the sleek packaging is perfect to throw in your purse.
Sticking with sunscreen I picked up Hydrabio SPF 30 from Bioderma a moisturizing Spf in spray form moisturizer from. I think it’s a nice alternative to The Body Shop one and the fact that is a spray is definitely more sanitary. The mist is very fine, refreshing and pleasant to apply!
When it comes to eye creams there’s always some kind of controvercy, because apparently is quite hard to see a real difference. Well I tried Patyka Radiant eye contour and although is nothing revolutionary, it worked really well for me! It has a light texture, quite liquidy, moisturizing and very easy to blend. Keeps my under-eye area hydrated, de-puffed and soft.

Amo i prodotti di skin care ancora più che i trucchi e mi piace provarne di nuovi, per scoprire quali sono i migliori (e i peggiori) sul mercato. Negli ultimi mesi ho cambiato la mia routine, introducendo alcuni nuovi prodotti che ho deciso di condividere con voi.
Al momento la mia pelle non è al top della forma, soffro di rosacea che mi causa qualche brufolo e irritazione, quindi sono obbligata ad usare prodotti molto delicati. Partendo dalla pulizia del viso, ho scelto il detergente Pschitt Magique di Garancia. È una schiuma con effetto micropeeling, ma non contiene granuli ed è delicatissima. Ha un profumo delizioso e migliora l’aspetto della pelle senza irritarla.
Stavo cercando un prodotto per combattere l’acne e qualcosa per diminuire l’aspetto delle linee d’espressione e pare che il retinolo sia la risposta ad entrambi questi problemi! Ho scelto il Redermic R di La-Roche Posay. Ho cercato di essere costante e applicarlo tutte le sere (si può utilizzare anche mattina e sera). Dopo circa un mese inizio a vedere i primi risultati e devo dire che la mia pelle appare più luminosa e compatta e le linee d’espressione sono meno evidenti.
Se si usano prodotti contenenti retinolo, bisogna applicare una protezione solare. La mia scelta è ricaduta su Skin Defence di The Body Shop. È una protezione 50+ dalla formulazione leggerissima, che non mi ha fatto venire i brufoli, non è appiccicosa ed è perfetta da applicare prima del trucco e la confezione minimal è perfetta da tenere in borsa.
Restando in tema di protezioni solari ho provato anche la Hydrabio Spf 30 di Bioderma, una protezione idratante in forma spray. La alterno alla Skin Defence e il suo formato spray rende l’applicazione on the go davvero facile, inoltre il prodotto viene spruzzato in maniera uniforme, con un piacevole effetto rinfrescante!
Quando si parla di contorno occhi, le opinioni sono sempre contrastanti ed è difficile stabilire se il prodotto in questione fa davvero la differenza. Io ho provato quello il Radiant eye contour di Patyka e anche se non è niente di rivoluzionario mi sono trovata molto bene. La sua formula leggera è piuttosto liquida e facile da applicate, lascia il contorno occhi idratato, luminoso e riduce il gonfiore.
Could be Florence or its slightly retro vibe but I’m totally smitten with Gucci latest collection. My wish list is filled with their bags, shoes, accessories and I can’t really pick a favourite because I’d love to have one of each.
Being a bag addict I’ve had my eyes on the Dionysus for a while. I love its edgy vibe, the thick chain, the embroideries and the bold, metal closure. It comes in lots of different sizes and color combinations so it’s quite difficult to chose. There are loads of other bags in the collection and a few backpacks as well. The Marmont is my favorite, it’s so girly and fun!
Don’t get me started on the shoes…I’m love with their loafers and those with the heels are insane right?! I wouldn’t mind getting a pair of those or some espadrilles or a pair of embroided sneakers. So chic!

Sarà l’aria di Firenze o forse il gusto vagamente retrò ma sono follemente innamorata dell’ultima collezione di Gucci. La mia wish list ne è praticamente piena: scarpe, borse, accessori e non riesco a scegliere perché vorrei ogni singolo pezzo.
Essendo un’appassionata di borse, confesso di aver puntato da un pezzo la Dionysus. Adoro il suo stile moderno, la catena spessa, i ricami, la chiusura importante. Ci sono un sacco di misure e modelli diversi, tutti bellissimi, quindi scegliere è davvero difficile. Ma nella collezione ci sono moltissime altre borse interessanti, per non parlare degli zaini. Quello che preferisco è il Marmont, per un look spensierato e super femminile!
Non parliamo poi delle scarpe! La selezione di mocassini è pazzesca e i miei preferiti al momento, sono quelli effetto foiled, con il mezzo tacco, ma mi accontenterei anche delle espadrillas o delle sneakers ricamate. Sono davvero chic!

After a lovely night out with my Interior designer friend, chatting the night away while sipping a glass (or two) of Bordeaux. The place was recommended by Stig of course: The Vue is a trendy club with one of the most amazing views of Shanghai. Sting told me there was a surprise. Well it was true in fact there’s a big Jacuzzi in the middle of the roof terrace. Only in Shanghai... It was just passed midnight and I didn't feel like going back to the hotel. The night was warm, the Bund was close and I just needed a walk surrounded by the tall dark buildings. It's weird how safe you can feel in a place like this even late at night and it's even weirder how I noticed an envelope on a bench along the way, maybe abandoned, maybe lost or forgotten. I kept walking pretending I didn't see it...then my Louboutin decided they needed to rest for while...them...not me: I’m just pointing that out.
So I went back and sit down next to the envelope, with the same attitude you would have sitting on the subway surrounded by strangers, trying not to bother and to keep a distance but secretly trying to catch every movement. Eventually I broke the wait and took the letter in my hands. While I was opening it I felt like I was going to be punished and find some incomprehensible document written in Chinese. But instead…
Dear Love, today there’s a beautiful unusual sun outside lighting up the bright blue sky, that rarely this city get to see. Spring is just round the corner and its bright colors are slowly spreading like a sweet virus along the endless streets of the city. It’s a beautiful day in Shanghai. But I feel like dead. In just a few hours I’ll be on that plane that will take me far away, far away from you, for a long time. We already spent so many sleepless night talking, screaming, loving each other, discussing if it was right or wrong to take thisjob in Malaysia. I don’t want to keep talking about this here since the decision has been taken.
I had to take it. I couldn’t say no, not now, after all the sacrifices I made. It would have been a wonderful news, if only…if only…I haven’t met you, who changed my bitterness first into trust then into love. You changed everything.
This sun should give me energy, It should make me the happiest person on hearth. So why? Why my sky isn’t blue? Why am I crying and not with joy? If only could you came with me…I know…I know…you can’t, not like this, not now. I don’t even know how long I’ll be gone. I feel like my life doesn’t belong to me anymore.

The emerald green ink had faded in some parts, make it hard to read. The tears of the one who wrote those words, those of the one who red them. The tears of them both and now mine as well. I sat on that bench for a while, in the empty Bund, fantasizing on what I just red, trying to imagine the faces of those unlucky lovers…the reason why the letter was there…
Back to reality I went to railing and opened my hand letting the wind take those pages away. It was late night. I’ll never meet those lovers but after reading their story I really hope they’ll meet again and recognize each other…

Avevo passato una piacevole serata di chiacchiere con un amico Interior designer sorseggiando un bicchiere (o forse due?) di ottimo Bordeaux. Il posto me lo aveva consigliato Stig, ovviamente: The Vue, un locale molto di tendenza sopra un grattacelo sul Bund, dalla cui terrazza puoi godere di una delle più belle vedute di tutta Shanghai. Stig mi aveva detto che al centro della terrazza avrei trovato una sorpresa. Era vero: al centro c’era un’enorme Jacuzzi circolare a disposizione degli ospiti. Succede solo a Shanghai. Era da poco passata la mezzanotte e non avevo voglia di prendere un taxi per tornare in albergo. La serata era piacevole e il Bund vicino, due passi all’ombra dei grattaceli spenti era proprio quello di cui avevo bisogno. È strano come sia possibile non sentirsi in pericolo in una così grande città la notte, è uno dei misteri dell’atmosfera di Shanghai.
È ancora più strano come e perché abbia notato sopra una delle panchine in pietra del lungo fiume una busta, forse abbandonata, forse persa o dimenticata. Qualche passo avanti cercando di non pensarci…e poi…improvvisamente mi sono resa conto che le mie Louboutin avevano bisogno di riposo…loro, non i miei piedi: sia ben chiaro.
Sono dunque tornata sui miei passi, mettendomi seduta accanto alla busta, con lo stesso contegno con cui in metro di sta seduti tra sconosciuti cercando di non dare fastidio e di mantenere per quanto possibile le distanze, ma lanciando di tanto in tanto qualche occhiata indagatrice con la coda dell’occhio. Alla fine ho rotto l’imbarazzo e l’ho presa in mano. Mentre l’aprivo mi dicevo che la mia curiosità sarebbe stata punita con un documento indecifrabile in mandarino. E invece…

Tornata in me, mi sono alzata avvicinandomi al parapetto. Ho aperto la mano lasciando che il vento portasse con se le pagine appena lette. Era ormai notte fonda. I due amanti non li conoscerò mai. Ma avendo conosciuto involontariamente la loro storia, spero davvero che possano rincontrarsi. E riconoscersi…
Travelling is one of my favorite things to do and even though I'm
not too fond of packing I like to do it with style. This season the
major Maisons came out with some really cool travel collections that
I'm dying to add to my stash. Chanel have a whole travel-inspired new
collection with gorgeous canvas pieces which may not be the most
practical but are definitely chic. If you want something more
durable, they have a few leather pieces as well and don't forget to
check their bijoux, they're the cutest! Louis Vuitton added a new
jungle print to a few of their iconic travel pieces and I really love
the pink and red combo which adds a little something to these
timeless gems.
Living in Florence I had to include Gucci and their new floral
print on canvas, which is gorgeous. There many different prints and
combination all unique, vaguely retro-inspired but with and edgy
twist! I can't wait to leave for my next destination and with all
these beautiful pieces I'll have a hard time picking my travel
companion! Which style is your favorite?

Viaggiare è una delle cose che amo di più ma vi confesso che
fare la valigia è sempre una tragedia per me, nonostante questo però
mi piace farla con stile. Questa stagione, alcune delle più
importanti Maison nel campo della moda hanno creato collezioni di
articoli da viaggio davvero bellissime e che non disdegnerei di
possedere. Chanel ha scelto come ispirazione proprio il tema del
viaggio e ha creato una serie di pezzi in tela davvero stupendi.
Riconosco che la scelta di questo materiale non è la più pratica,
ma se volete qualcosa di più duraturo ci sono diversi articoli in
pelle. Non dimenticate di dare un'occhiata alla bigiotteria, la
collezione di spille in particolare è deliziosa!
Louis Vuitton per la stagione, ha aggiunta una stampa Jungle ad
alcuni dei suoi pezzi iconici da viaggio. Mi piace la scelta del rosa
e rosso, che aggiunge quel qualcosa in più a dei pezzi davvero
intramontabili.
Vivendo a Firenze non potevo non includere Gucci e la loro
collezione a stampa floreale su tela: bellissima. Ci sono moltissime
combinazioni diverse, seppur tutte originali e il classico gusto
vagamente retrò si mischia ad un tocco più moderno e irriverente!
Non vedo l'ora di partire per il prossimo viaggio, anche se con
tutta questa scelta darà difficile selezionare il bagaglio da

Per prima cosa parliamo della confezione! La adoro! È pratica e chic allo stesso tempo…in più è rosa, devo veramente aggiungere altro? Ho avuto la possibilità di provare il Push-up pack e la cosa che mi ha incuriosita di più e senz’altro il siero. - The secret to the perfect orzo is patience and temperature. Take a large cup, fill it with water and put it in the microwave for at least 4 minutes. When you take it out, the water should be boiling hot. Meanwhile take another cup, I recommend Pantone 186, my favorite kind of red, add two or three generous teaspoons of orzo, the organic kind, a teaspoon of honey and a pinch of cocoa powder. Pour the water slowly in the cup and stir frantically until it's all blended. If you've done a good job you'll see a nice foam on top. If you have a sore throat just add a drop of grappa or any hard liquor you can find in the mini bar.
- I don't get why you're talking about patience. It takes less than 5 minutes to make.
- 5 minutes to make, 20 to drink, unless you want to burn your mouth. Oh and there's one last ingredient: a nice chat in good company of your choice. There! Enjoy. A couple of butter cookies would be ideal but unfortunately I couldn't find any here in the hotel.
Sounds like a regular conversation with a friend. One of those nice chats you would have in your pajama watching Breakfast at Tiffany's for the millionth time, with your favorite Pantone mug in you hand.
But it's not.
It's 5 a.m. almost dawn. In a little while the first sun lights will make their way through the thick, eternal fog, lighting up the buildings on the Hong Kong coast. We just got back to the hotel after partying like crazy at Dragon-i one of the most popular clubs in town.
It's typical for Stig on a business trip. When he's home you can find him sleeping on the sofa at 10.30 p.m.. He says his critical hour is in between 10 p.m and 11.30 p.m. butthis just happens on a national level. In fact when he crosses the ocean it's a whole new story: he never sleeps, he forget to eat and he (almost) lost that typical sadness in his eyes. Anyhow no matter what, after a concert he has to have his hot orzo cup. Even in Hong Kong where is crazy hot and humid. Very humid. Freaking humid. And hot.
We said goodbye with the promise to meet in Italy in front of the Music Academy where he rehearse every Thursday night, in that nice place when they make tapas and sangria, to talk about Shanghai and what this trip lefts us. We had to change plans.
But let's take a step back to when I went to get my Chinese Visa for the trip and they sent me back because there was some kind of stupid paper (no one ever told me about) missing. Of course when Stig went to get his, without the stupid paper of course, the appointee, out of the blue, started singing “Recondita armonia” from Puccini's “Tosca”. At that point Stig offered to join in for a duet, telling the lady he's an opera singer. Of course she loved Opera, she grew up in Shanghai and she worked for the major Opera houses all over China. I'm sure by this point you all have figured out that Stig came out of there not only with his Visa but with a long list of contacts of directors of the main theaters in Shanghai, Bejing, Hong Kong and of course I hated him for that. This kind of things just happens to Stig.
So he and his partner were at Pudong airport , handing their luggage in when he got a call. There was a non-scheduled concert in honor of Bernstein and the tenor who was supposed to sing Maria from West Side Story was out of voice. When sending out his presentation email Stig attached the demo of two songs and one of them was Maria. Destiny does exists. I was just getting out of a club in the French Concession when he phoned me:
- Houston we have a problem. Hong Kong. Tomorrow. Concert. Panic. Business partner gone. Hotel is on the theatre. Flight is not. In 6 hours.
Six hours later I was on the flight. This time it was my turn to “be Stig”. I always dreamed about visiting Hong Kong.

- Yes I'm quite pleased. I studied this piece last summer and then I have to leave it behind to prepare for Boheme, which I'll be performing in three days as soon as I land in Italy. Even though it has an uneven rhythm, what's difficult about Maria in not just the technique but the interpretation. The character finds love, true love, real love and nothing looks the same anymore: names, colors, sounds...Maria...Maria...Maria... Say it loud and there's music playing, Say it soft and it's almost like praying… Isn't the love we lost with innocence the one we all would like to find? It was the love I thought...I thought...

- I hope so, they told me there are some auditions in August in Singapore for a new production...since I'll be there...who knows...

- Wyndham Street…down this way there's aBothos store. Is where I fell in love with their amazing backpacks. I almost got one on my way to Shanghai.
- Yes and I remember you didn't get it because...the Bonastre backpack you saw in Luisa Via Roma made your heart pound...
- Definitely. Too bad the price almost made it stop...but you know the price for those kind of things...I really like Bothos backpacks though, they're so edgy, soft leather, nice fabrics and the ones I fancy are always sold out online...you can only try to find them in store and there's only one store in the whole wide world...and it's down this street...
Would he be able toresist the temptation? The store was opening at 10.30 a.m and it was just 5.30...
It was a beautiful dawn and the golden rays of the pale sun were reflecting on the windows of HSBC. In this little oriental corner, so chaotic yet so exciting, you can walk down the street so early in the morning feeling like you're in the busiest street of London. But this is another story so...till next time.
- Il segreto per fare un ottimo orzo sta nella pazienza e nella temperatura. Prendi una tazza molto grande, la riempi d’acqua e la infili nel microonde, per almeno 4 minuti. Quando la tiri fuori devi vederla bollire ben bene. Nel frattempo hai preso un’altra tazza, io consiglio una Pantone 186, il mio punto di rosso preferito, in cui hai messo due o tre abbondanti cucchiaini di orzo, quello biologico, un cucchiaino grondante di miele e un pizzico di cacao amaro in polvere. Alla fine ci versi l’acqua, lentamente, mentre freneticamente mescoli. Capirai di avere fatto un buon orzo vedendo la cremina marrone che si forma in cima. Sei hai un po' di mal di gola aggiungi un goccio di grappa o altro super alcolico a piacere che trovi nel frigo bar.
- Perché dici che uno degli ingredienti è la pazienza? Ci vorranno al massimo 5 minuti per prepararlo.
- 5 minuti per prepararlo, 20 per berlo, a meno che tu non voglia ustionarti. E poi manca ancora l’ultimo ingrediente: due buone e rilassate chiacchiere in compagnia, a piacere. Ecco a te: buona degustazione. Un paio di biscottini al burro sarebbero la morte sua, ma, purtroppo, non sono riuscito a trovarli qua in albergo.
Sarebbe un dialogo normale tra amici. Sarebbe una di quelle chiacchiere rilassate da fare in pigiama. Sarebbe una serata da passare a vedere Colazione da Tiffany per la milionesima volta con la tazza Pantone in mano.
Sarebbe.
Ma sono le 5, è quasi l’alba. E tra poco i primi raggi di sole tenteranno di farsi strada nella fitta e perenne nebbia, illuminando i grattaceli sulla costa di Hong Kong. Siamo appena rientrati in hotel dopo avere festeggiato al Dragon-i, uno dei locali più frequentati della zona. È una tipica scena da Stig in trasferta. Quando è a casa in Italia puoi essere pressoché certa di trovarlo che dorme sul divano del suo studio già alle 22.30. Lui sostiene che il suo orario critico è tra le le 22.00 e le 23.30. Ma è una regola che vale solo nei confini nazionali. Quando attraversa l’Oceano non dorme, dimentica di magiare, perde quella venatura amara tipica del suo sguardo. Ma non rinuncia all’orzo bollente dopo un concerto. Anche qui ad Hong Kong, dove è dannatamente caldo e umido. Molto umido. Fottutamente umido. E caldo.
Ci eravamo lasciati con la promessa di rivederci in Italia per andare in un carinissimo locale dove fanno tapas e sangria, proprio davanti alla Scuola di Musica dove prova il giovedì sera, per raccontarci quello che Shanghai ci aveva lasciato addosso. Abbiamo anticipato.
Un passo indietro: quando sono andata io al Consolato cinese per richiedere il Visa per la China sono stata rispedita a casa perché mancava una fotocopia, di cui nessuno mi aveva parlato. Quando è andato lui, senza fotocopia, è capitato che la responsabile dei Visa, nel momento in cui se lo è trovato di fronte, senza ragione, abbia cominciato a canticchiare “Recondita armonia” da “Tosca” di Puccini. Al che, candidamente, il sorpreso Stig si è offerto di fare un duetto, dichiarandosi cantante lirico. Non sto a dirvi che la Sig.ra è una melomane. Non sto a dirvi che il buon Stig è venuto via dal Consolato con il Visa, e già per questo l’ho odiato, e con le mail dei direttori artistici dei teatri di Shanghai, Pechino, Hong Kong. La Sig.ra è cresciuta in Cina. La Sig.ra ha lavorato per i teatri d’Opera. Succede solo a Stig.
Proprio mentre lui e socio erano alla consegna bagagli per prendere il volo di ritorno a Pudong, gli arriva la chiamata. C’è un concerto di gala fuori cartellone, in omaggio a Bernstein, e il tenore che avrebbe dovuto cantare Maria da West Side Story è senza voce. Stig aveva inviato in allegato alle mail di presentazione due brani, di cui uno era Maria. Il destino esiste. Ero appena uscita da un locale nella French Concession quando mi ha chiamato:
- Houston abbiamo un problema. Hong Kong. Domani. Concerto. Panico. Socio partito. Albergo pagato dal teatro. Volo a carico. Tra 6 ore.
Sei ore dopo ero anche io su quel volo. Questa volta ho fatto io la Stig. Ho sempre sognato di visitare Hong Kong.
- Hai fatto un’ottima performance, considerando le circostanze è andata decisamente bene.
- Sì, sono abbastanza soddisfatto. Il brano l’ho studiato la scorsa estate, giusto per ampliare il mio repertorio, per poi accantonarlo perché fra tre giorni ho Boheme, appena atterrato in Italia. La difficoltà maggiore di Maria non è tanto tecnica, che comunque c’è, specie nel ritmo tutt’altro che lineare, ma piuttosto interpretativa. Il personaggio incontra l’amore, l’Amore grande, vero, puro. E niente è più uguale a prima, tutto cambia: i nomi, i colori, i suoni…Maria…Maria…Maria… Say it loud and there's music playing, Say it soft and it's almost like praying…Non è forse l’amore perduto con l’innocenza e che tutti affannosamente e senza più sperarci vorremmo incontrare? E’ l’amore che credevo…credevo…

- Niente. Ti piace l’orzo?
Meglio non insistere. Quella venatura amara è tornata nei suoi occhi verdi.

- Spero di sì, mi hanno detto che ci sono delle audizioni ad Agosto a Singapore per una nuova produzione…chissà…visto che sarò lì…

Avrà saputo resistere alla tentazione? Il negozio apriva alle 10.30 ed erano solo le 5.30...
Era un’alba bellissima, che rifletteva i raggi dorati di un pallido sole sulle vetrate dell’HSBC building. In quest’angolo d’oriente, così caotico, così stimolante, puoi passeggiare nel primo mattino per i marciapiedi sopraelevati, avendo l’impressione di trovarti a Londra nell’ora di punta.
