Valentine's day looks with Farfetch

Valentine's day is just round the corner so when Farfetch asked me to collaborate with them taking part in a very exclusive contest I was over the moon.

For those of you who don't know, Farfetch is a luxury brand website, where un can find a great selection of clothes, accessories, bags, shoes, jewelry for men and women...basically any fashion lover's dream!!

For the contest I had to put together two different looks for Valentine's Day and let me tell you, with that much of choice it wasn't easy! In the end I went for a classy, sophisticated look for her with a gorgeous Hérve Léger printed dress, a little black jacket and very chic yet edgy accessories. Can we talk about those Gianvito Rossi pumps please?! Well this is definitely a look I'd love to wear for Valentines's Day...or any day really!

For him I went for a more casual vibe, creating a modern and edgy look. I think the Saint Laurent biker jacket is the star of the show. I love the black hardware and its sleek cut. Balmain biker jeans goes so well with this style but to make it a tad smarter I paired them with a very classic sweater, a pair of suede ankle boots and awesome accessories. My favourite is definitely the backpack, so elegant and unique.

San Valentino è alle porte, quindi immaginerete il mio entusiasimo quando sono stata contattata da Farfetch per partecipare ad un contest esclusivo in occasione di questo giorno.

Per chi di voi non lo conoscesse, Farfetch è un sito internazionale dove potete trovare in vendita capi dei marchi più prestigiosi sul mercato. Hanno una selezione davvero ampia di spendidi abiti, acessori, borse, scarpe sia da uomo che da donna...insomma è il paradiso di chi ama la moda!!

Per il contest ho messo insieme due look per il giorno degli innamorati e lasciate che ve lo dica, con una selezione così ampia, non è stato affatto semplice! Alla fine ho optato per un look da donna classico e sofisticato, con il bellissimo abito stampato di Hérve Léger, una giacchina nera e accessori chic ma grintosi.

Vogliamo parlare delle scarpe di Gianvito Rossi?! Che dire, è un look che sicuramente mi piacerebbe indossare, per San Valentino...e per qualsiasi altra occasione!

Per lui ho scelto invece un look più casual ma comunque moderno ed elegante.

La giacca in pelle di Saint Laurent è sicuramente la star dello show. Adoro la metalleria nera e il taglio minimal e raffinato. Ho abbinato una paio di biker jeans di Balmain, che si combinano alla perfezione con questo stile e per rendere il tutto più elegante un maglioncino classico dalla stampa geometrica, un paio di stivaletti scamosciati e accessori che si fanno notare. Come ad esempio lo zaino di Saint Laurent, unico nel suo genere.

Pretty Honest

I got this book for Christmas it's from Sali Hughes and for those of you who don't know her, she's a beauty journalis who writes a very successful beauty column for The Guardian. The book is very pretty indeed and will look awesome on your coffee table but unlike many books of this kind it is actually full of very interesting contents, beauty-wise of course. Sali covers every single aspect of beauty from foundation to acne, to mature skin, perfume and so on. The book is very informative and written in her witty, honest but very professional way. I think this will make the perfect gift to all your girlfriends and of course to yourself. You can find it on Amazon and in many book stores. Have you read it yet? Did you liked it? Per Natale, ho ricevuto questo libro, si tratta di Pretty Honest di Sali Hughes. Per chi di voi non la conoscesse, Sali è una giornalista che si occupa di bellezza e scrive sul quotidiano inglese The Guardian. Il libro è davvero carino e farà un figurone sul vostro tavolo in salotto ma a differenza di tanti libri di questo tipo, anche il suo contenuto è molto interessante. Sali copre ogni singolo aspetto che riguarda la bellezza, dal fondotinta, all'acne, alle pelli mature, ai profumi e così via. Il libro è molto istruttivo ed è scritto nel suo stile arguto, onesto e molto professionale. È il regalo perfetto per tutte le vostre amiche e ovviamente anche per voi. Lo trovate su Amazon e in molti altri negozi di libri (anche se per ora non esiste la versione italiana). Qualcuno di voi lo ha letto? Che ne pensate?

Alexa Chung for Eyeko

Is no secret I love Alexa Chung so when I had to chance to grab one of the set she did with Eyeko the famous Uk brand I was very excided! The packaging is pretty awesome :) you got a big tube and inside there's a poster, one of their lenghthen & strengthen mascara, a liquid eyeliner and a little plectrum that you can use to protect your lid while you apply mascara. I haven't tried them yet but I'll keep you posted! Have you tried anything from Eyeko? Do you like it?

Il mio amore per Alexa Chung non è certamente un segreto e appena ho avuto l'occasione ho preso uno dei set in edizione limitata che ha fatto in collaborazione con il marchio inglese Eyeko! La confezione è davvero carina e al suo interno ci sono un poster, un mascara, un eyeliner liquido e un piccolo plettro che può essere usato per proteggere la palpebra mentre si applica il mascara. Non li ho ancora provati ma sono molto curiosa e ovviamente vi terrò aggiornati! Avete mai provato niente di questa marca? Vi piace?

Light as a feather

Hello everyone! If you have seen my September wish list this will came as no surprise. In fact I've been wanting this feather ring for so long that I finally cave in and bought it :) It came in a super nice packaging with a note from the designer, I mean...how cute is that? The ring is a little feather that is supposed to be worn on your pinky ring but you can also wear it as a midi ring or if you have very petite fingers on your ring finger. Btw because of its shape it can be adjusted to fit perfectly! I love it sooo much :) excuse my nails...I'm in desperate need of a mani but I wanted to show you how the ring looks on! Do you like it?

Ciao a tutti! Se avete visto la mia wish list di settembre, non sarete affatto sorpresi del mio nuovo acquisto. In effetti era da un po' che volevo questo anello a forma di piuma e finalmente ho ceduto e ho deciso di prenderlo :) Mi è arrivato in una confezione molto carina, accompagnato da un bigliettino scritto dalla designer. L'ho trovata un'idea deliziosa, non pensate anche voi? Come vedete l'anello è una piccola piuma da indossare sul mignolo, ma si può portare anche come anello midi o se avete le dita molto sottili, anche all'anulare, la sua forma permette comunque di aggiustare la misura! Lo adorooo :) e scusate l'aspetto terribile delle mie unghie...ho un disperato bisogno di una manicure, ma volevo comunque mostrarvi com'è l'anello indossato! Che ne dite, vi piace?

Hi everyone! How are you? I don't know why but every time around this time of the year I start to feel so tired and unmotivated...maybe is just the crappy weather? I'm craving for Spring already :) Does it happens to you as well? Btw today I wanted to share with you this beautiful editorial which came out on the July 2005 issue of Vogue Uk. The photos are by Tim Walker! He's one of my favorite photographer, every single one of his shots looks magical to me and I can spend hours looking at his pictures :D This time he had the beautiful Lily Cole to model for him and I think she really looks gorgeous and dreamy in these photos! I hope you like them!

Ciao a tutti! Come state? Non so perchè ma tutti gli anni, quando si avvicina questo periodo mi sento sempre stanca e un po' demotivata...sarà il tempaccio grigio che sembra non volersene andare? Io non vedo l'ora che arrivi la Primavera :) Succede anche a voi? Comunque torniamo al post, oggi voglio condividere con voi questi bellissimi scatti, pubblicati su Vogue UK di Luglio 2005. Le foto sono di Tim Walker! E' uno dei miei fotografi preferiti in assoluto e secondo me ogni singolo suo scatto racchiude qualcosa di magico, infatti potrei passare ore a guardare le sue fotografie :D Questa volta è toccato alla splendida Lily Cole posare per lui e trovo che sia un sogno in questi scatti!!
