When in France - part 1 Montpellier

Hi everyone, long time no see...I know the past few months have been kinda crazy but today I'm here to share with you some photos and a few recommentations from my recent holiday in France. If you follow my blog you'd know that France is my happy place and whenever I have the chance I go back and it's always an awesome experience. This year I visited a few new places and one of them is Montpellier. Montpellier is a gorgeous city located in the south of France it has lots of historical points of interest but it's also full of young people since there are multiple universities in the city. The atmosphere is very chilled and it's the perfect place to travel to with your friends but also if you have kids. There are tons of cute little restaurants, café and bistrot where you can enjoy a glass of wine. I decided to share with you a round up of my favorites restaurants, places to visit and shops. There's so much more to see and do and overall it's a place I'd love to visit again! I hope you'll enjoy my little review and maybe it'll inspire you to visit this beautiful city someday!!

Food
Le Petit Nice - 1 place Jean Jaures
It's a bar located in a very nice Square where you can have a lovely breakfast (their fresh, pressed juices are a must), an aperitif or a drink later in the evening.

Bistrot Chez Canaille - 7 Place du Petit Scel
This was definitely one of my favorites spots. They offer you a selection of wines that you can combine with platters of cheese, cold meat, assortments of tartines or a mix of your choice.

La Casita del Barrio - 2 Rue Rebuffy
Since Montpellier it's quite close to Spain, it's not unusual to find lots of tapas restaurants and this one you cannot miss. It's again located in a very cool spot and you can sit outside to enjoy some tapas of the day, sangria or a glass of wine.

Must see
La Promenade du Peyrou
This beautiful park is the perfect place to stroll around. Its higher position gives you a wonderful view of the city and from there you can see the old aqueduct.

Antigone
If you like big spaces and architecture you must visit Antigone neighborhood. It was designed by the Spanish architect Ricardo Bofill and it's a mix between neo-classical and modern. On the other side there's a nice view of the river Lez.

La Panecée - 14 Rue de l'École de Pharmacie
It's a Center of Contemporary Culture where you can find a gorgeous space full of expositions of all kinds that you can visit for free. The purpose of this place is to encourage creativity, promote artistic research and experimentation. It's really awesome, a place I'd love to have in my own city. There's also a café that offers you a selection of tasty fresh products!

Shopping
Polygone Shopping Center - 1 Rue Pertuisanes
Here you can find a very wide selection of shops including Sephora, Le Galeries Lafayette, an awesome a very well stocked Pharmacy and a super market...which always come in handy.

Images Photo - 2 Rue des Étuves
If you love Tech this shop is would make you (or your bf) very happy. It has an amazing selection of cameras, tripods and accessories of all kinds.

YellowKorner - 24 Rue de la Loge
This shop is part of a chain so it's not exclusive to Montpellier but it's very cool so I decided to include it regardless. Basically it's a gallery where you can but the photos at accessible prices. You have a wide selection and the possibility to chose different formats. I think it's a very cool concept and it's very nice to take a look around.

I hope you find it helpful and I'll see you (soon) in my next post...I promise!! ;)

Ciao a tutti!

Shopping
Polygone Shopping Center - 1 Rue Pertuisanes
